Pretty cheap $25 normally ends Oct 16. Doesn't seem to have a limit of how much you can buy
For PS3 players $27 for $30 PSN Card no link but it is in their new catalogue

Are you being serious?
yes…
Why couldn't you just google for the answer?
hahahaha.
@zomg, you answered in typical jv style.
jv can understand, how it feels to answer hard :)
anyways @jv, it is for xbox gaming. you can use them for gold membership and other buying stuff like movies, extras.
Or you could have just clicked the link.
Use them for Xbox live (online gaming)
thanks… i don't have a games console… wasn't aware…

Thumbs up for timmye
You have 7000 posts and you don't know what Microsoft points are?
………and you have only 200 posts but do know what they are. I am seriously in awe.
@timmye: absolutely agree.
That's why I'm posting this from two AMD Harvey Norman notebooks, with 2 sticks of incompatible DDR3 1666 notebook memory decorating my desk, pair of white camo XXL Skins hanging off my head like that green dancer from Return of the Jedi and sipping what's left of yesterdays Slurpee deal out of a fishtank.
A deal is a deal ;)
The picture and description in the link perhaps didn't give it away?
I just have zero interest in expensive consoles when there's steam… or cheap consoles with expensive games and expansion options
It's more expensive to build a decent gaming rig (which will become obsolete in a few years) then to buy a console for a few hundred bucks, which if you want you could modchip it for warez, or just import games from the UK at a fraction of the price.
@sw If you don't know what they are, you most likely wouldn't need them. I think it's a bit of a stretch for the OP to post a bargain and then have to describe what the item is or does.
And there is no need to insult gamers because you couldn't click the link and read for yourself what the item is.
Okay. Fair enough - my bad!
[MOD: Scotty, please remove that little field on every posting entitled "Description"]
I don't think I was insulting gamers - just expecting negs from the myopic ones……??
The thing about this product is that only people who know what it does will need it. And if you're curious, you could have looked it up yourself. It's not that difficult.
By your reasoning, every post should have a description detailing the purpose for which it is used. Have a look at other posts - most of them don't describe the item's purpose.
Okay
the description is to explain the deal, since the title isn't everything. if the poster decides to explain what the product is, then good on them, but it's not mandatory.
also, insulting anyone who gives you negs by generalising what kind of person they are won't win you any friends here. consider that they may have a good reason to give you a neg, including the fact that you tried to generalise the people who gave you negs.
xbox live costs money?
gofvkyourself.
…
there's been plenty of MS points deals on this site, and with the frequency that jv visits this site, i really doubt he's never heard of them. more likely this is another one of his posts that backfired on him, since he tells everyone to google ;)
Just wondering if a tiny title edit might be possible? What about just adding: "for XBox"?
i.e.
$19 for 1500 Microsoft Points for XBox Harvey Norman
I would think that the reason for a clear title and description is so that people don't then have to click through or Google. Thus everyone saves time….?
It isn't just for Xbox though. Games for Windows uses it too.
Windows 8 will use those points pretty heavily if i have been reading correctly. Could potentially stock up now in preparation.
Exactly Games Marketplace uses too, picking one up tomorrow. Thanks!
May not be enough for some people though. You'd then have to define that "Xbox" is a gaming console for some then define what a gaming console is then …….
How could 3000 Points cost $43 when it's cheaper to buy 2 1500 points cards?
$5 for the huge extra time/effort to type in 2 codes instead of one
$5 = 10 or more meritline items :)
It's actually 3000+200, still more expensive than buying two 1500 points but that's HN for you :P
I've bought and know full well what XBL points are. And to be fair, I think it's better to describe them as Xbox Live Points points rather than 'Microsoft Points'
Just what i need, Thanks ;o)
Catalogue says $27 for $30 PSN, not $23. QV Harvey Norman put a limit of 4 1500 points cards per user on when I tried to buy them today.
you can go several times if you want.
I just got my friend to get me some more :P But I thought I would mention it, they might not do it at all stores but there might be limits at some people's :)
Out of stock at Broadway, NSW.
what are Microsoft Points and how would i use them?
are they like frequent flyer points ?
