EDIT 6:50PM: looks like Futu regretted the double stack of discount, and now increased price to 10% off only, so $1781.10.
EDIT 5PM: Thanks to Overbought, it is actually cheaper at Futu Online at $1,692.04 delivered after the eBay Coupon Code. LINK: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/333551052673 . Looking at Futu's revision log, looks like they only reduced its price after I posted the deal (which the seller was Titan Gear instead).
Also, due to general post rules, as the original store was for Titan Gear and if there's a cheaper store, it should be a new post to be posted rather than editing the original one, I'm going to edit it back to Titan Gear. Please visit nocure's post here instead for the cheaper Futu Online link as he has now made a deal post: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/535889
GPU wise not as great as the other ASUS TUF laptop recently, but they generally perform within 10-15% margin (RTX 2060 vs GTX 1660 Ti laptop versions; also depends on the actual laptop's thermal solutions too). However the spec especially the CPU is a massive upgrade.
Quite several reviews are out for the Ryzen 4800H's performance (for a few good ones, see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyFFCTwG-sI and here for a comparison discussion against intel's current line-up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooz7ozw-lpo), in short, AMD's killing it.
The laptop however does have drawbacks however, the screen's colour gamut is not great, while wouldn't be an issue for gamers, but a bit of a let-down considering the Ryzen 4800H's amazing performance would make it quite a beast for productivity workloads. Fans can get noisy according to reviews/comments, and it can run hot after pro-long CPU/GPU intensive sessions (but it is pretty much a semi-norm for a gaming laptop any way, especially in the budget of <$2000).
The TUF A15 series so far I've seen three sub-models (before further variants), FA506II (with GTX 1650Ti), FA506IU (with GTX 1660 Ti), and FA506IV (with RTX 2060, which I haven't seen availability in Australia yet). I'd advise AGAINST the FA506II model with the GTX 1650Ti, due to ASUS cost-cutting on the thermal solutions of that variant, having only 1.5 heatpipes (1 long and 1 short half-length). While the FA506IU has 2.5 heatpipes (2 long and 1 short half-length).
This deal isn't an amazing deal really, but more of a discussion deal post? At the very least, just so people are aware this model is available and can be better value to other similarly priced gaming laptop, whether intel or older AMD ones.
