    • I know right?

I once traded bitcoin for VPN 'data'.

What an age we live in.

      • Expect bitcoin is a trading currency

I trade my time and effort for PokeCoins daily.

          • @MasterScythe: I haven’t played Go for ages, were Pokecoins always a thing in it?

            • @UberIsCool: Yep, always.
You could purchase them, or earn them from doing things like protecting your local gym.

20 Poke Balls is normally 100 Pokecoins, Incence is 40 Pokecoin each, so normally these alone (you can't purchase the berries) would cost 220 Pokecoins.
Pokecoins can be purchased as an in app purchase in the game using real world dollars at an exchange rate $0.99 for 100 Pokecoins so there is a bonus monetary value in this deal of around $2 for free.

Usual price is just over $2, currently 'free'.

If you lack 1 coin, niantic will give you one if you email them.

Next time an old timer is at at the video arcade and the pinball machine begins to malfunction and give away extra points they should post it too!

Agreed, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Assuming, more than 10 credits, as it's the minimum for a bargain here.
      Freebies count as bargains.

Thanks Op. Reopening this game has gotten my kids into it. They’re more keen to get out and walk around the block.

Same experience here too, so some positives there.

Although they seem to be adding more and more new Pokemon .. makes it harder and harder to "catch them all".

      • almost impossible with some being only in certain countries and some being sooo rare. I've been playing since day 1 and still nowhere close

        • Most country only ones have event days or are egg obtainable.

Also, a little hard with travel bans, but there used to be a big social group when, say, someone from japan would visit and had farfetch'd, youd meet up, show them around, trade a kangahskan, and have a good time.

Its a very social game once you get to the nitty gritty of it.

Ive completed the Dex a few times over, so has my mate in Sydney.

Im now doing a playthrough with battling as my main objective, very fun so far!!!

        • You need to join the local communities and trade for them.

  • Man it was good a few years ago when Raid passes cost 20 cents each.. now I have to spend 55-60cents for em..

You still get one free each day.
And still get 50 coins a day for holding a gym.

And its better value If you need to buy, to get the $150 or so bundle, its the sort of thing you only ever do once, but really, im not gonna Fret over $150 on what is effectively gym motivation, lol.

      • Oh really? I never knew you get a free raid pass every single day. Never did I realise you can earn 50 coins a day for holding a gym for 8 hours at all.

        • +1

          Yep Yep!
I just plonk one on my local at about 11:30pm, and its a guaranteed 50 overnight.

        It's funny, the $0.99 for 100 pokecoins is actually the best value of all the packs;

        100coins for $0.99 x 145 = 14,500 coins for $143.55

        14,500 pokecoins bundle = $159.99
