SONY RRP $3499 !!!!!!!!! OMG I just picked up a 116cm 46inch FULL HD 1080P Sony Bravia KDLW3100 for $1999 + BONUS PS3 (worth $699) at bing lee :), i'm gonna sell the ps3 so the tv cost me about $1400-1500 after i sell ps3^^woooooot!!!!

They only have 3-4 left when i paid for mine :P

    Is that the Sony Clearance centre?

    In that case, the sale is probably limited in that particular store only.

    What did the receipt say? The terms and conditions of the PS3 promotion are:

    No. To qualify for a BONUS PLAYSTATION 3, the BRAVIA Full HD LCD TV has to be purchased from an authorised Sony dealer (excluding Sony Seconds dealers).

    I wonder how Sony tells who is a seconds dealer?

      they have a drop down list when u put in ur ps3 claim form, and the bing lee was one of them :)

      • i called sony and checked the serial of the tv, they said as long as it's not second like cash converters or a place that just sells seconds goods, it aKO ^^

      so pretty much i paid $1400-1500 ish for the tv after i sell the ps3

    Yes it specifically states that Sony Seconds Dealers are excluded. It all depends on if this deal is considered a 'seconds'. As the X4000 series is coming out next month I suppose the dealers are keen to move the floor stock hey!

      nope the sales guy guaranteed me that i can get hte ps3 + i called sony and they checked the serial of the tv + the store and they said it was ok as long as it's not a second's dealer.

      All Sony TV LCD panel(X, W, D..etc series) made by Samsung. but Samsung no longer supplying the panel for Sony. Perhaps, The new X4000 series panel made by BenQ. So wait and see

    Not bad if you don't mind used, value will also heavily depend on PS3 being available with the TV, but like he said the new models are coming out next month and the high end ones in November in time for the xmas rush…

    I'm pretty sure the Homebush store is OK for the PS3, best to ask them though. They are a "Sony Central" store and not quite a factory seconds store. Seconds dealers may be sellers on eBay and other factory outlets. The Bing Lee has been graced with Sony's approval so hopefully the PS3 is no problem.

    Not a bad deal at all, shame the W series looks so washed out.

    I've registered (long time visitor of this site) just so I can congratulate on an excellent buy !!
    It's an excellent TV and a good size. If I wasn't in Melbourne I'd buy one too!
    Have you already got a Blue-ray player? otherwise you should consider keeping the PS3

    In my opinion the X series Bravias are superb with hidef content, and I'm normally a plasma fan. The W series should be pretty much the same. Isn't the difference mainly motion flow?

      yep pretty much same except the motion flow which is really good for sports aparently :P, but i couldn't notice the difference. It just seemed the x series had better colour but that can be tweaked :P

      i have to sell the ps3 so that i end up paying 1400-1500, i was looking at sub $1000 lcds before so $1999 is abit too much :P

      Also i have x360 already with heaps of games :P

    I know this is a big ask but, Would love a copy of the receipt. A Brisbane store advised me they would match it. Told them it was Bing Lee's in Sydney. They said as long as you can show proof it went for the $1999 and has the model number they will do it for that price. Hoping i can get a copy of the receipt as they have 2 new ones left in boxes they told me I can have one of them.

    Yep. He said they had 2, I asked if they were new inbox and he said yes. So i assume they arent repacks, either way it is still a cool deal. They are selling them for $2299 so it will save me $300, which will be awesome.

      now that i think about it , i think the sales guy thought u were talking about the 40 inch model becuase that sells for $2299 and he can bring it down to $1999 ?

      the 46inch 116cm model that i got, sells for $2800-3000+ depending on retailer, lowest i found was lik $2799 and it seemed lik a dodgey online place :P

      I mean, seems too good to be try that he would give u a new one that sells for $2800-3000 for $1999 + ps3 0_0 thats almost half price(save $1500) if u sell the ps3 0_0

      but i hope you get the deal, i'm 100% the 46inch 116cm doesn't sell for $2299 new :P

      well my reciept does say the 46inch model and $1999 as price, and also it doesn't say floor stock :P, so you might be able to get a price match if your're a smooth talker :P

      really depends on the saless person, some r nice, some r jerks :P

      Like i said, give a few stores a call tmr and i'll scan it after i pick up my new toy :)

    Id love to have a copy of the receipt, so i can secure myself one of these babies.

    (Though im not 100% sure that just because one store is selling for such a discount, other stores will follow through..)

    The store i called, said they had one left, so maybe the deal would work..

    Now Sony comes up with free Play station- (I remember they had that deal till Jan 2008 as well).
    What the heck, i will buy another Sony Bravia!

    hey guys. i called at around 10, and they told me they had one left (the one that michegianni has bought, with the dead pixel).

    They told me the warranty supplied does not cover dead pixels, but also, they said that they doubt any other Bing Lee can match that offer, as they are a factory seconds dealer.

    i had lik 5 to choose when i went there, cos i was quick :P

    and they're not a seconds dealer, they sell discounted sony stock, some new, some old models, some floor stock, some seconds.

    The receipt helps but whats going to happen is the stores that are price matching will call Bing Lee Homebush to "ask" what price they are selling that model for and if they have any stock.

    Basically, you have chosen HN, DSE, JB, etc. over Bing Lee most likely because of location, financing services BUT not due to one customer getting an awesome deal that most retailers simply cannot match without losing $$$$.

    DUDE, its floor stock. Meaning its been on playing dvds everyday since the TV has been out. Meaning the life of the lcd has been owned. I know you got 5 year warranty, but you may be really unlucky and the TV could possibly die in the 6th year!!

    Who has a tv for more than 5 yrs anyway. I know i dont. Think of the size and quality that will be around in 5 yrs. At the end of the day neosin got a cool tv for $1999 with a free PS3. Who cares if its had dvd's playing on it for a yr. It aint going to change the quality of it.

    :::SO - TO CLEAR THINGS UP FOR PEOPLE:::

    "ugoagogo" thought the same thing - it's a W series not an X series - I thought it was an X series too (guess I got too excited) and went down to the store to buy it. Turns out of course it's a W series (rubbish 50Hz TV).

    Funny enough though I knew the guy working there. This is what he told me:

    All stock is returned stock - it could be damaged, it could be fine, it could be dead pixel, it could have firmware issues etc.

    He told me MOST of the time - people return them just because they can't tune in all channels - and they think that it's a faulty TV.

    So, while I was dissapointed with not being able to get the 46 X for $1999 - The 40" X was only $2299.

    And they still get more and more in - they had 46X, 46XBR, 40X, 40XBR, 52X, 52XBR, 46V, 46D, 40D, 32V etc etc etc

    They had a packed area just with returns selling for heaps less - and all you have to do is get the guy to turn them on so you can see them in action.

    There was a 40" X that I looked at closely and it turns out nothing was wrong although it was committed - but they were always getting more and more of them in every few days so I guess no-one really misses out.

    Oh - and this Bing Lee is like a Sony Bing Lee they do Sony only - apparently Sony Central is owned by Bing Lee.

    Hope that clears everything up for everyone. Warranty is from day of purchase and PS3 can be claimed until end of month.

    Probably gonna get a 40" X series on Interest Free (They do interest free!!!)
