Starter Kit.
Whats the expiry date on activation?
My current personal standard is $5 but usually I have 20GB data.
It is $5 for 2GB and $10 for 35GB for the first 28 days on the website, and up until 30/4 it was free. This isn't as great a bargain as OP thought.
10GB additional data until June 30
2GB/35GB data for the life of the plan
Catch Connect is $3.30 per 30 days after cashback for 90 days with 60GB data.
Note - This Amaysim deal is only for 28 days and both use the Optus network.Belong Mobile is $2.50 per month for 4 months with 5GB data (Option 1).
Noob here. I've always wondered if it's possible to keep getting new numbers at low costs like this one and keep claiming the new user discounts from food and other apps. Is it possible to do so or are there any mechanisms in place that prevent doing this?
It depends on the app. Some use your email, some use the phone number, some use an internally generated ID, and some read the IMEI.
Same price here in SA.
It was free last month.
Isn't this a better deal for larger users with $10 for 35GB of data through amaysim?. I mean for this $5 one you only get 1GB of data. Extra $5 getting 34GB of more data. That's got to be worth it if you use more than 1GB of data.
If you don't need international calls then the Catch Connect deal I linked to above is even better.
This is useful if you need a quick number for porting to Telstra to get phone deals. Grab this from Woolies, activate and post it out to Telstra :)
You can do that with any of those $2 SIM starter kits. Why waste $3 doing that.
Which ones? I thought you need to recharge a bit to reply to that porting confirmation text message.
Only some now work without paying for recharge.
Occasionally there are free $2 SIMs delivered from Telstra - very handy for porting, so grab them when the Deal returns. These should be non-Telstra (like cheap Amaysim ones listed in this deal) to be able to then port into Telstra to grab phone deals.
@bajirao: For your use - yes.
Picked up some $10 Woolies SIMs for $1 recently in a Rewards offer - for porting as no free Telstra SIMs were available.
Ported from Optus to free Amaysim SIM (on Optus) in a day yesterday. Handy to keep a seldom used incoming number for at least a year.
@INFIDEL: Yeah that was a good offer for those who got it. I had a Kogan SIM and was trying to activate it but it asks for recharge voucher/ plan selection and doesn't even allow to proceed without selecting a plan.
@bajirao: Yes, I recently tried a Kogan SIM - can't be used for porting unless you activate with a voucher codeπ’
Now have a few "free after cashback" Catch & 1 more free Amaysim on their way.
That recharge or starter kit?
If its the starter kit i got one of there website for $0 delivered this week
