Just as a good example for US vs AUS store if you want F1 2019, it is $17.95AUD on Aus store or $17.99US($27.77AUD) on the US store. This is a very good example of the rare occurrence of a better deal for the Australian store.

Edit; Just found Assassins Creed Origins AUS - $17.95, or US$14.99($23.14AUD). Another good one not to buy on the US store.

Also, there are 367 total games on the US store vs 275 on the Aus store

    • I frequently look to buy games on the Xbox LIVE marketplace and always check AU and US prices. Australia is usually similarly priced and quiet often a bit cheaper. Always hoping to see a US bargain and save heaps. it happens. But not often.

I do the same on PSN and Nintendo eShop also. In my experiences we do pretty well on game prices.

      Edit
But we seem to miss out on game variety a bit. As this deal mentions.

    • Yeah it's good isn't it. I just bought F1 2019 Legends Edition Senna and Prost for $24.95 (down from $114.95) from the AU store. It's $19.59 USD (30.29 AUD) on the US store. So yes as you said there are instances when games are currently cheaper on the AU store for aussies than it is on the US store store.

So if you want F1 2019 then i suggest the Legends Edition as it's only a few dollars more and you get a couple of DLC with it (Legends Edition DLC and Anniversary Edition DLC. I think it's well worth the few extra dollars.

I don’t generally find a lot of value on the US store these days. Back when we used to have close to parity with the US dollar in our exchange rate it was awesome, but now you’re pretty much paying double the advertised price and most games are simply cheaper on the AU store. Not saying there are no deals to be found, just be wary to check that conversion rate first.

  • From recent offers, Tetris too was cheaper to buy from AU store.
