  • Their rating on Product Review is 4.9. I might be wrong here, but such almost immaculate review score often indicates incentivised reviews. Has anyone been used their service?

    • +1

I've bought 2 honeycomb blinds from them in the past few years and the quality seems to be good for the price (cordless vertical for the laundry sliding door and a smaller cordless night/day for the toilet window). They are made in China, but the shipping was reasonably speedy. The clips and screws are a bit light duty, so I went and got some decent wood screws from Bunnings. I haven't had an issue with either blind and they are used a fair bit.

I think the reviews reflect they deliver on what they are offering, decent quality blinds for a cheaper price (especially when 20% off). Plus honeycomb blinds are awesome at keeping heat out.

      • Cheaper? Put measurements in and just for one it came to almost $1100. I could buy more than 10 from spotlight for that much.

        • I replaced the spotlight ones with the Veneta blinds. The spotlight ones absorbs the direct heat and re-radiates back into the house. Likewise in winter, it doesn't retain the heat in the room.

Get what you paid for. Of course could use a curtain with double glazed windows.

          • @avoidfullprice: The more expensive at spotlight were $55 when on sale, which is about 19x cheaper. Is it really worth 19x?

        • I've not seen the honeycomb blinds that Spotlight sells, so I can't compare the quality differences. I imagine Spotlight are using poorer quality materials to deliver at 10% the price (eg. using lined paper rather than foil backed polyester) but I'm only guessing. I had quotes from the local blind places for the vertical blind and the cheapest was around $2,000 for something roughly equivalent in material (brackets and screws would have been better) and with a wider range of colours for the blind and rail. The one from Veneta was $800 and does a great job of keeping the heat out in the summer.
