      When making the purchase I followed all their instructions as specified.

      They admit to having technical issues, they can see we have clicked their link and made a purchase straight after, so where's the doubt here on which side did it fail?

      This seems super dodgy, will not use them again if this is not resolved, and will definitely make sure to let people I know not to use their services too

    My order was "automatically cancelled" - no call, no notice other than being refunded. Called Dan Murphy's 3 times, forwarded to different departments, then the store… "hmm that isn't standard procedure" "once the refund has taken place, it can't be reversed" "was out of stock, more arriving tonight - you'll have to order again"

    Shopback showed my visit to Dan Murphy's in the click activity, but no cashback activity yet so I've submitted a claim, but from the sounds of others on here I may not get it :(. Very shonky if that ends up being the case and I will take it further if it happens to me.

    Also made a purchase, no tracking. Will file missing report but not looking good based on above comments. Have always had other purchases track using the exact same method. Based on number of reports it's looking like a shopback issue.

    Has anyone else had a problem getting this cash back on Shopback? I clicked directly through from Shopback to Dan Murphy's and made a substantial purchase, making sure the icon in Chrome was green through the process.

    It never tracked (well, the click through did but the purchase itself didn't), so I lodged a missing claim with Shopback and they have told me that "the order was rejected because it wasn't attributed to Shopback".

    I am an experienced Shopback user and was as careful as always to ensure it was tracked through.

    Sounds to me like they are being dodgy.

    Mine hasn't tracked either so will need to chase it up but doesn't sound promising. Could paying using a gift card have invalidated the cashback (since it usually does) even though they specifically said it was okay?

      yeah I am thinking of the gift card too. I used the egiftcard and got rejected. Interested to you know what payment methods others who got rejected used.

        I used WISH card (kept the screen shot saying that this was OK to use). Did not track. Have lodged manual claim.

      I got an reply repeating the same reasons and did not get any "goodwill".

      They keeps blaming DM but since so many people having the same issue it clearly their system had a bug.

      Well, I have not collected my order yet and will try to cancel the order with DM.

    I got another reply offering me $5 'goodwill'. They are saying that Dan Murphy's won't pay them a commission so they won't pay out. A total scam.

    It's important that people call them out so they don't try to pull fast ones like this in the future.

      They did the exact same thing to me last year and I didn’t accept the crappy $5.00 but instead I kept on emailing them until they finally told me that there was an error and they would pay me the cashback. I would return all unopened booze back to Dan Murphys and get a refund. Scammers for sure.

    BTW, I didn't pay with a Wish gift card so anyone worried that this may be the reason it didn't track needn't think so. Mine was with a simple Visa debit card.

    Have take my complaint to DM and requested gift card to the cash back value or they return/refund my orders.

  • I submitted a rejected claim back on 24/4 which still has status pending. Interestingly, I received an email late last night from shopback with subject "Hi There, thank you for supporting ShopBack" that contained "We hope you've enjoyed your purchase from Dan murphy's".

    I just got another email from Shopback. They have now acknowledge there is a problem with Dan Murphy's transactions tracking and asked for some time to investigate and resolve.

    • Mine was just rejected, I complained and got the same response acknowledging problems with DM's tracking and a promise to investigate. It's probably a bit of a PR disaster considering lots of people being knocked back are first-time users.

  • My first transaction tracked twice. Subsequent were rejected via what looks like a form letter after claiming missing cashback.

        1) A chance for them to fix it. I've sent the following email reply to them:

        "Dear Debra,

        I'm sorry, but your standard response which attempts to reject the manual claim for payment that I have made is inappropriate and offensive.

        There is clear evidence that the transaction I made was attributed to Shop back, you are simply attempting to ignore that evidence.

        I state for you:

        1) I clicked the link to Dan Murphy's at 6.27pm on April 24 (screen shot confirming this attached)

        2) The pdf invoice statement at the conclusion of my transaction is dated 6.31pm on April 24 (screen shot attached)

        3) I only made this purchase because of the 15% bonus cash back offer that was advertised as available between 4pm and 8pm on April 24. (screen shots attached)

        I note that Shop back is aware of system issues in the tracking of sales with Dan Murphy's. I further note the large number of online reports which indicate that there have been systemic problems with this specific 15% promotion. Shop back knows of these issues yet is deliberately trying to avoid their responsibility to honour the promotion.

        As I have undertaken every requirement to satisfy the awarding of the 15% cash back I require Shop back to immediately award the missing 15% cash back on the entire transaction. I cannot be held responsible for the failings of Shop back to conduct its business in an appropriate manner.

        I indicate very clearly that I intend to pursue this matter further if Shop back does not immediately pay the required 15% cash back amount for this entire transaction as it is evident that Shop back is acting in a fraudulent manner."

        2) If this fails then I'l send the same email to a person higher up the food chain at Shop Back.

        3) Contact them via Facebook, productreview website

        4) Consumer affairs department complaint.

        I'm not letting them get away with this.

            Full 15% has tracked (pre GST). Unlikely that this was linked to the email response that I sent them, but I'd encourage others to write similarly sternly worded responses to them. they are obviously, by default, trying it on and need to be stood up to.

    Mine was rejected too, after submitting a claim. Did not pay using GC.

    Had better luck with the Cashrewards deal with Liquorland. Let's see how many praises we can get for Cashrewards on a Shopback post.

    I sent then an email saying I did nothing wrong and that my friends had the same issue and asked them to look back into it. Just got a tracked email for both my purchases. Looks like the full amount!!

  • Add me to list. Rejected after enquiry with shopback. I did everything by the book (purchased through shopback app, paid with credit card, did not browse during the transaction, no vouchers etc). Never had issues in the past.
