I've just gone from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Windows 7 had some version of MS Office installed that wasn't registered. But I could still use Word & Excel by clicking some 'nag box' when they first opened. I've been using Libreoffice but in spite of what they claim, it doesn't work the same and it's crashed a few times losing hours of work even though I'd hit CTRL S well before it crashed. It reverted a spreadsheet to a version several days old! Does anyone know if I begin the Office 365 setup in Windows 10, will it act the same as my Windows 7 Office did and let me click some nag screen to use it unregistered? Or do you have to buy it just to open it?
Just use the free online ones.

I've used HRK Game for multiple copies of Office and Windows, never had an issue.
Ah yes, that 94 per cent discount always looks very legit.
As I said before I've never had an problem with them. I just thought give him another option since it appears cost is an issue.
@Ryballs: I didn't say you had a problem with them, but anyone who thinks it's legit is kidding themselves to OzBargain levels. If you're going to get this, might as well just torrent it for free.
I haven't used O365 for a while but from memory it goes into view-only mode after your free trial and after the end of your subscription.
Thanks to you and those above. I did more research after someone posted the $40 deal above and I realised it's cloud based, so I'll pass. I think I had Office 2010 on Win 7. So I'll probably watch for a secondhand disc of that. Or maybe THAT is what the guy I bought the laptop from installed. Maybe 2010 can be downloaded and used by clicking that nag box. Hm…. Time for more research.

The Mastering Excel: Excel Apps is still free on Amazon US. Not sure about the Mastering Excel Macros: Introduction (Book 1) though since apparently I bought it back in 2018 lol.
Anyone knows why it says this title is not available for purchase???
Hmm i think both the conditional formatting and interactive charts are now not free? Can anyone else confirm? Coming up $2-3 for me.
