This bike looking as stupid as the first bike ever made.

    • i wouldn't splash $1000 for a circus cycle either

      • Kogan used to sell 899. It is not a deal at all.

    Brutal looking bike

    • That's not a top tube, it's a rocket launcher

I don't see a rear brake in the pictures. If it doesn't have rear brakes also then it's not legal to sell in Australia. Other companies have been caught out and fined for selling non Australian compliant bikes (only front brakes) in Australia. It only has front brakes, not legal here. It's got to have both front and rear brakes to be legally compliant.

So i don't know what Xiaomi is thinking selling a non AU complaint bike in Australia.

it does come with rear brake

        No rear brake.

Look at the overview diagram showing the parts and installation instructions. Only says front brake.

As i said this bike is not even legal in Australia only having a front brake and that's all.

          From that PDF:
Method of braking, front brakes, rear brakes Shimano IM31

@kwchaz: Yeah i missed that. I wish it was more clear as it didn't show a rear brake on the overview diagram.

The Shimano IM31 looks like not your regular bike braking system.

I suppose it must be legal then.

Still i wouldn't pay $1114 for it. A bit over priced.

  • It's kind of funny how a mobile phone sales company is now selling an electric push bike.

  • Been keen on a deal for a Ninebot Max scooter.
