    Whisky
Couple of comments asking about good value whisky buys from this deal, thought I'd save you other whisky fans the time and whip through looking for any stand outs. Found a few, however they were generally unavailable after you click through to them :(
Jameson @ $33.75 is a steal - great to have on the shelf and to share around when you want something consistent and pleasant.
Glenfiddich @ $46.5 is awesome value for an everyday go to - light, entry level highland single malt.
Didn't check out the bourbons but someone above mentioned this Maker's 46 @ $45 which seems like a good op if that's more your speed
Prices inclusive of cashback, all listed as available at my local at time of posting but idk where you live so YMMV

Dimple 15yo @ 44.82 is pretty damn good value. Even before cashback $58 is a good price. Weirdly, the 15 is $1 cheaper than the 12 (which is overpriced at BWS).

    • thanks guys, saved me having to search through the options, now just debating on which of the three to buy

  • FYI app says 4-8pm AEST? is this right?

  • +1

Anyone got any vouchers or anything to get free delivery without having to buy $100 of stuff?

  • +16

I got stung pretty bad in Shopback's last 25% cashback offer for First Choice. I bought lots of stuff left right and centre, greedy about the 25% discount and then cashback didn't track the transaction.

After raising a ticket and sending them the invoice, they rejected the cashback. I would just caution people on using the increased cashback for stuff you are not willing to pay the full price for.

I gone done over on the Cotton On flash sale last month.

      • +2

Same. Got done over by Iconic on a super deal last year. Checked several times but they wouldn't pay. I should have returned the shit!

    • +2

Happened to me when there was 30% off GoT whiskies. After couple of back and forth emails and months later I finally got the cash back!!
For this reason I like cash rewards.

    • +2

This happened to me as well.

Provided proof of purchase even with a screenshot showing the 25% active cash back and they still rejected it.

I'm still fighting a claim with their customer service and they keep saying it's in the hands of First Choice as they are the ones that issue the cash back.

      Very frustrating and expensive exercise.

  • +4

I personally find Shopback less reliable and take much longer to confirm cashback, especially compares to their competitor like Cash rewards etc. just my 2 cents

    • It really depends. My last Cashrewards cashback takes longer than expected. YMMV.

  • +2

Little Creatures XPA seems like good value. $68 at BWS (before cashback), $80 at Dan Murphy's in NSW.

    • +1

This stuff is amazing. I'll be getting a case of this bang on 4pm.

  • thanks OP, used your referral link to set up shopback

  • If you placed an order a few days ago but havent picked up yet, are you still restricted on what you can order?

  • is the 25% across all products from BWS or only GIN? sorry couldnt see this detail on shop back or bws website

    • Why would it only be on gin?

  • +2

Can it be used with 25% off 8 singles of craft beer deal.?

    • good question would like to know this as well, that'd be cool - I would suppose so right, cos the reduction will happen in checkout and then shopback should just be on whatever amount..

  • Get some really good Polish Vodka for $33.75 incl Cashback.. https://bws.com.au/product/144476/zubrowka-bison-grass-vodka…

    • Nice with the 2% cash back? Will be even cheaper with 25%

  • a lot of good gins are suddenly unavailable online…
Looking at Botanist, Ginversity, Malfy, MGC, Tanq 10, Poor Toms, Gin Mare… more than half their range. Little bit disappointing - sale hasn't even started yet?

  • +1

If anyone is after some wine, this deal is still going - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/531433

$30 for two bottles (or any bottle of) Jacob's Creek Wine and get a oak decanter.

EDIT - And also possible claim a $10 Deliveroo voucher if you spend $50 or more on any purchase - https://winning-drinks.com/deliveroo/

  • Is it best to use the SHOPBACK mobile app to do this?
thinking of getting some Craft beer and Kraken

  • +2

Is anyone else having trouble viewing ciders on the website? They appear in search but you can't actually view any.

    • Noticed this as well (WA), was seeing if there were any cider deals for the misso. All I get is two Corona options

    • Did you set your store?

      • Tried three stores local to me, says there are 106 products but nothing listing

        • Exactly the same as me and also in WA. You can also search and see them, but the page never loads if you click on them.

  • +13

    still showing 2%

    • Same here. If I activate and order anyway will it work it out in hindsight?

      • +1

        i'm not risking it

      • Wouldn't risk it, I'd wait

    • +3

A bit of system caching but it's the 25% rate you'll get if your order was placed between 4pm and 8pm AEST, even if you clicked through just a few minutes after 4pm while the rate appeared as 2% when redirecting.

  • +4

    Still says 2%?

    • -6

      missing the digit 5

      • -4

tried with incognito too, no luck.

  • +1

    Still coming up as 2%

  • +2

Yeah, I'd prefer it said 25% instead of 2% before I click through :/

  • +3

Yeah still saids 2%… not going to bite until saids 25%

  • No deal? still shows 2%

  • but i want scotch!

    • scotchy scotch scotch

    I'm THIRSTY

  • Where's the rep?

  • Boooooo! 2% only at 4:04pm. I could easily slip back into sobriety with these sort of antics.

  • +3

  • Yep still 2%

  • Maybe this deal is 23% full of crap?

    • Hahaha…

  • +1

Do we all get cars now as compensation?

  • Still 2% :(

  • Hmm just purchased at 4:01pm but checking back it still says 2%… hope it tracks at 25%!

    • +5

i'm doubtful, but hopeful for you

    • +4

System caching so you might've seen 2% even though it's past 4pm, but no worries it will be the 25% rate you get!

      • does the $30 cap mean overall, or just within the one order? As in if I do another order does it count towards the total cap?

        • Multiple purchases. $30 cap from all purchases

      • +1

I just got tracking email with $0 cashback…

        • Hey powerhammer, sorry about this! We've just provided an update here. No action required on your end - we're following up with BWS on this.

  • opppps feeling cheated

  • -6

So just buy it at 2%, the clickthrough has the timestamp…. so you'll get your 25%, sheesh.

    • what if you don't

      • -1

You will. I've had a similar experience with a % cashback not being updated before and it was honoured with no manual intervention from me.

    • Lol no chance in hell

    • wow, losers negging today….

  • +2

  • I made the mistake of saying I want it delivered and now the checkout is showing 404!

    • why do you think click n collect would be better?

      • it looks like the backend server producing address suggestions has died and causing the whole page to 404

  • "experiencing high demand from thirsty customers, try again"

  • When i tried check out through paypal… Site not found 404 error. F

  • Yeah, I can't check out at all. Mildly irritating.

  • +1
