    Rislone or this one?

    Anyone used both?

    • Depends what you are using it for and both will boost performance. They both raise octane. Rislone says it's got upper cylinder lubricant and this may help noisy lifters/valve problems for older cars. The Valvoline says it does carby cleaning too. You also get something like four treatments with Valvoline (assuming a 40L tank).

Don't buy fuel injector cleaners. It will damage your rubber gaskets and plug over time.

    • A mate who used to be a car mech said the same thing. Was it the acidity or something that causes the damage. The same thing has breaks down the gunk breaks down the rubber. But I already had 4 so donated two and used two! Didn't really notice a difference tbh. But it's a 8 year 1.5L little hatch.

      • After you use it, the leftover chemicals (xylene derivatives etc) are still in the oil and circulating. So best done before an oil change. Plus probably best for something not too expensive.

Scotty Kilmer on youtube reckons you can just run premium fuel once a month or so to keep the injectors clean. No idea if there is any truth to this?
