Sorry, I just needed to let off some steam…
With wit and intelligence like yours, you must have over 100 degrees.
@Charlie Sierra: That's how steam works…
@jv: I know but I didn't want to interrupt humid sentence.
Not sure why you got negged. I guess its heating up in here…
All those negs must keep you cool.
😋
You sound jealous.
😈👿😱😨😫😓
@[Deactivated]: Lost for words I see…
@jv: where was it?
@[Deactivated]: I was hiding it from you.
@jv: 😋
I need 1 litre, they are all 1.7 :(
Fill only up to a litre then?
Myer still in stock
If you have ebayplus you can get free delivery from the myer ebay store.
Can you please put the Myer eBay link here? I am having an issue to find it on my phone. Tia
Thanks.
Ordered from Myer ebay.
Got one. Thanks OP
Thanks OP bought one! Using eBay plus.
Almost bought one at Myer ebay, but after checking this review
"
Metal smell water
It looks good, but the water has metal smell. Not really better than the cheap one from Kmart.
"
I better not pull the trigger.
I went for the Morphy Richards Evoke, which is also on sale at Myer
Can confirm the metal smell. I'm using one. Better off getting the cheap kmart one.
I think if it is real Stainless Steel you will have to use vinegar to clean it before use.
Already did, but still metal smell. I got used to it now haha
Got a Breville Toaster + Kettle pack on sale awhile ago, and the Kettle is just like the one in the deal.
Very similar design. Boiled it a couple times full with water as instructed before using.
Never noticed any “metal smell” but what I have noticed is a build-up inside on the bottom (it’s steel).
Almost like it is cavitation (maybe the wrong word here) or oxidising or something.
Is this normal for steel Kettle’s?
@thebadmachine: I have Kambrook colour one for a few years, no build-up inside the bottom. Just some on the cover edge and at the join area of the outlet.
Try put a piece of lemon in and boil it.

@superforever: Ok thanks for the tip.
Always have been boiling with water above minimum. This all started happening quite early on in its usage.
It’s almost like the boiling part is causing the steel to take on damage.
(I recall from a documentary a similar thing happens to the edges of submarine propellers, as they cause the water to boil & create bubbles on the edges of the propeller it eats away at the metal, it is called cavitation)
Thank you for this. Life saver.
Can I cancel an eBay item before it's sent? It sucks if it has metal smell.
You can call Myer customer service to cancel your ebay order before they ship out.
More like SKAMBROOK
Kmart sells a similar looking one for $20. I bought this a year ago and it's still working great.
https://www.kmart.com.au/product/1.7l-stainless-steel-kettle…
They're cheaper and without the metallic taste + 27 x 5 star reviews worth checking it out.
What? An Amazon deal that is not related to Covid-19? Blasphemy!
Simple solution: Use hoarded Amazon disinfectant products to reduce the metal smell
I bought a stainless steel kettle from kmart and it leaks always. Can anyone suggest a good kettle which wont smell like stainless steel and also a bit cost effective? Thanks
Yeah nah.
Bought this last time from Myer deal. Sat on order for 2 weeks then canceled claiming no stock when I chased it up. Continued selling at full price. Waste of time.
Myer one is available but marked as $59.95 ?
hot price?
