What’s the best one for running and gym?

    • +3

they usually have TrueWings on sale..not this time though. They are decent for the price. fits well for the gym use. only gripe is you need to get used to put them properly n the box. they auto connect sometimes even if they are in the box.

  • Be careful when buying, fellow OzBers. I bought a pair of Truedot earbuds after reading numerous reviews stating the charger was USB-C type. Turns out these reviews are for a different Soundpeats product and yet the seller continues to allow them to appear on the Truedots page. Very misleading.

    • +1

If it was on Amazon, that's not the sellers fault, it's amazon. They group like-reviews from product groups.

      • Wtf?! How ridiculous!! How do they determine what a ‘like-review’ is?

        • I'm yet to figure that as well for certain.
On the USA page, it shows you "This review was for X product" so you know, but not the AU version, so it's strange.

I think they group based on if the 'store' has them all listed in the same category.
          It's really silly.

Curiously, why was the lack of USB-C such a big deal? Mine included a micro cable in the box.

If you like to use the one cable to charge, can I suggest you look into magnetic charger cables? You can use the same cord on multiple heads :)

Think this one might be a typo:

And when will this delivery take place? I'm still waiting on stuff ordered 2wks ago. I could have walked the 40kms to their DC & then back in a day

    • Amazon is taking about 3 weeks at the moment, 2 weeks with Prime. It's COVID.
I've bought a bunch from them, they dispatch from Amazon warehouse it seems (all of mine did) so it's not the seller being slow.

      • +1

And yet I've ordered stuff on ebay since from interstate that taken a week to arrive.

Amazon has contacts with various delivery companies. They could ask their delivery companies to put on more staff or use alternative companies. Plenty of people out there wanting to work.

The "how long does it take" gets asked about OS items. It seems Amazon is being particularly slow, so it's a fair question.

        • Yes its fair but you're asking an advertiser, not the shipper.

Jump into Amazon support chat and report back.

And yes, unless you're buying from the GSP on eBay, that makes sense that its quicker.

        • Not slow for me. I have received my truedots I bought less than 2 weeks ago and I'm in qld, nowhere near Amazon warehouses. I'm not on Prime either.

  • Code not working for the truebuds with touch control

    • Worked fine for me: D7PBU6QX

Anyway it's first entry to wireless earphone, hopefully they work well.

      • Worked for me this time. Don’t know why but I had to try a few times. Maybe cutting/pasting from the OP didn’t work.

  • Which ones are good for watching netflix on a tablet? Other comments have suggested audio lag when watching videos.

    • Depends on your phone and which app; because if one brand lags, odds are they all will.
Anything with a Realtek chip tends to be better, as a generalisation.

    Man, that's really disappointing….
I'd LOVE to get the Truebuds but the 3.5hr use, and a recharge time of 1.5hrs, I'd just forever run out of battery.

They have a power bank (which I need), they are semi-in ear, which is ideal, they look cool, they have a FANTASTIC audio chip, but the battery is just minuscule…. :(

    • I'm on the same boat! They look like the best value for the style, can't find anything else. Battery life is the killer.

  • What's best for calling in soundpeats vs tronsmart?

  • The soundPEATS Q12 are coming up at $33.15, not $27.99. codes don't work for it either

  • Grrrr why doesn't thing include the true wings….

  • +1

No deal for Truewings or Q30 for a while… ☹️

  • just bought 4 of these

    • of which?

      • 1 of each

        • i got the truebuds, hope its good

at least its new, i have a feeling true engine 2 was more right for me though

  • I'd been using my trueengineSE on the old codec for months being VERY impressed with their performance.

Just got a new TCL phone that supports BT5 and aptx. Wow.

And complaints about sub par bass are gone. What an amazing set of earphones.

    • Do these get loud? I have the truedots but I find the volume isn't quite loud enough for me :(

      • Incredibly! I use foobar2000and replaygain set at +9db.

Its loud enough to block out all other sound at 66% volume

        • Thanks for the reply. Turns out I had mine turned down. I didn't realize the true dots had volume control as well lol 🤦‍♂️. They are plenty loud enough and I'm quite happy with them for music and especially exercise which is what I got them for. They hold in well even with vigorous skipping. They do have lag when watching youtube and video though in case anyone reads this and wants the true dots for video. Music only!

    • would you recommend these or the truedots for running, gym and HIIT workouts?

I'm after truely wireless headphones with great sound quality and fit.

      • Dots. Lighter will move less. Though you do give up sound quality, you wont notice puffing and panting.

    • To be fair BT5 won't add anything as far as audio quality or loudness etc. AptX is worse than AAC which is on most TWS already.

  • Are you going to stock True Air black version? I think Qualcom is better than realtek bluetooth chip on Truebuds. Any discount for True Air?

    • yes, the black color of trueair is on the way now and will arrive soon

  • +1

Just a heads up that I bought the TrueBuds from a previous deal but returned them immediately as the microphone was atrocious and pretty much unusable. I tried them side by side with a pair of Taotronics Bluetooth BH-076 headphones and they were far inferior. I'd rate the Taotronics microphone at about a 7 out of 10, the Truebuds about a 2.5.

Tried a couple of calls and the other person could barely hear or understand me at all.

    • What else didn't you like about them? Nearly all QCY/TWS buds are terrible with calls.

      • Yeah that's fair enough.

They also didn't pair a bunch of times out of the case. Had to factory reset them a couple of times. This is within the first 24 hours of using them so didn't bode well.

        • Yep, has been my experience with most also. Will keep on looking then. Guess I'll be buying another set of Airpods

          • @onlinepred: Have you had a look at Freebuds 3?

            • @wearytraveller: Way too expensive. Is just get airpods right?

              • @onlinepred: $399 for Airpods Pro. $250 for Freebuds 3. How is it more expensive?

(this is if you're comparing similar products)

                • @wearytraveller: 199 for airpods, $260 for freebuds 3 right? I don't want the inner ear canal ones or anc, I just want airpod clones that are actually good. They don't exist though.

                  • @onlinepred: I don't think that's a fair comparison as the Freebuds are closer to the Airpods pro than standard.

If you do a search on here for Ticpods 2 Pro, you can see a deal which says is expired but still works. I just bought them at $141 last night. Will let you know how it goes.

  • Is soundpeats truengine 2 available here yet?

  • Mine arrived yesterday, and I'm super impressed.
