With all the wine deals recently, have been keeping an eye out on quality wine glasses. Apparently Schott Zwiesel glasses are made specifically to bring out the subtle nuances of your favourite varieties. Is this even a thing or is there a clever marketer giggling somewhere?

Wine selectors have 40% off these glasses already discounted at $72 (6/pack) plus shipping on top. Didn’t like that price so kept searching and came across this hospitality website selling the same glasses for $22.99 (6/pack) + $18.70 shipping, total $41.69 for 6 glasses delivered.       I doubt my glass can tell the difference between a Riesling and a Chardonnay.

      A slightly different shape for Red and White I could understand.

  I’ve bought these before for around $20 for 6
  Goes to show how much markup the retail stores put on this stuff.
  They are nice glasses very strong. Looks like this shop has been ozbargained.

  Subtle nuances would come from the shape for aeration. But does sound like BS.
