I don't get how I can be using a pixel 4 and not be supported. It's software support!? Had a v30 and thought I was upgrading :/
Also have a ZTE Axon 7, that was a daydream supporting phone to my knowledge, but that's not supported either? It's on the list but only my v30 shows up as able to be installed to
Same! I've just done a bit of background reading and it turns out that Google has killed Daydream, so no more VR phones.
@darrynj: I know, pretty ridiculous though, someone needs to be able to work around this with a hack
I was able to procure on an Axon 7, but haven't tried opening the game as was having trouble with day dream some time ago.

Also, what kind of device do you need to play the VR version? I thought i might install it on my android phone and use a google cardboard lens to play it, but it says all my devices are incompatible.
