If you wet where the scratch is and it disappears, you have a chance to get rid of it as it's just in the clear coat.
Run your finger nail across it. If you catch it you’ll need to compound it and get a bit more aggressive. If you can’t feel it with your nail it should polish out.
Is meguiars ultimate compound still one of the go to products for this? Or Scratch X?
I love Ultimate Compound, combined with an electric random orbital polisher.

I bought the Big Green Sucker, Nanolicious, and Love Glove in the last sale. Gotta say I'm pretty impressed. Besides the scratches in my car (which no car wash is gonna get rid of) the paint look like it just came off the lot! The Big Green Sucker dries as well as people say and definitely uses high quality microfibre. The Love Glove is.. fine I guess. I bought it to clean the entire car with but I think it's more suited for those tight areas like grilles etc. This time round I might grab one of their microfibre sponges to cover the main areas of the car a bit easier. Also need the snow foam cannon to do maintenance washes. I have a bad back so it's better if I don't have to physically scrub as often
Try the shagtastic wash pad maybe? I have the microfibre mitt and love it for washing. I feel like i get better ability to wash thoroughly as I get more feel via my hand. The Claying Rubber might be worth trying on your older paint too, to get rid of the contaminants on it.
I stocked up on snow job, naked glass, leather love, microfibre wash and bought a new big green sucker and a shagtastic wash pad. The after glow is also amazing stuff but I've got heaps. :) The microfibre wash was a massive discovery for me as it brings your microfibres back to life as they start to get a bit hydrophobic after a while of normal washing. Happy detailing!
