What is yupp tv? I’m white and live in Newcastle. I feel like I’m not the target demographic.

    • Makes two of us

      Updated title.

      • However I do love Bollywood movies.

    • Indian tv set to box.

    • Use subtitles

  • What is the difference between this STB where you have to pay monthly fees, versus Worldmax TV or Jadoo TV where you buy the STB once and no ongoing monthly fees?

    • +2

Worldmax and Jadoo are illegal and quality is very poor. All the channels and movies are streamed at HD quality and no buffering.

      • +1

        quality is very poor

Not from what I've seen. Also Worldmax offers a 4K version (likely just upscaled 1080p though, I haven't seen it in action myself).

      • +3

Quality of these 'illegal' IPTV services is much better than YuppTV streams, they offer Full HD or 4K streams for most of their content. I am using one of such services called JioTV IPTV via STBEmu app installed on my Vodafone Android TV box. The video quality of the streams is really good, the only downside is that companies like these can be a bit unreliable and you would have no one to contact in case you have issues…e.g. my JioTV service would buffer occasionally during US/Canada peak hours but overall the similar services like Worldmax, LiveTV etc have better video quality.

        • +3

My experience has been similar with worldmax and also that the box works for 2 odd years after which it’s literally dead. So the $300 or so paid upfront is good for 24/30 months only. I have since changed to amazon firestick on a amazon India account downloaded Hotstar ($8/year) and voot ( free) and with Nord at around $20/ 3 years or so, have a pretty reliable set up now for stuff that I need. You can get Amazon prime for $20/year as well. Need local mobile and CC.

          • @Maxdax: Hi, can I subscribe to HOTSTAR using VPN using AU credit card and then watch without VPN from AU?

            • @N B: You just need smartdns like getflix. I have been using hotstar and primevideo for more than couple of years and recently started using Zee5, Sonyliv and Sunnxt.

P.S: you can still use primevideo without smartdns with an indian prime account. But content is limited

            • +1

@N B: You need an Indian CC, mobile number and a continuous connection on VPN. Also fire stick provide native apps for Hotstar / Voot / Sony / Zee etc which show as incompatible with my shield so Firestick was the way to go for me. The 4K USA firestick also works with prime video India - Prime video Australia needs to be sideloaded ( Just FYI)

PS - prime video (India) can be used without VPN and it’s full content - no restrictions unlike smartdns ( as poster above mentioned)

        • Where do you find the url for jiotv?

        • Batra saab, tell me more about this JioTV IPTV via STBEmu app installed on my Vodafone Android TV box via PM please

        • How do I get Jio Tv? Do I need a VPN?

I would appreciate if you can PM or post more details about how to sign up for Jio Tv (or the re-stream sever)

        • Pls share how to watch JioTV IPTV via STBEmu app installed on Vodafone Android TV box

        • Where do you buy JioTV subscription?

    • Watching Worldmax is practically pirating stuff.

      • is*

    • Worldmax TV reviews are horrible

VPN + TataSky is better alternative.

For those who are considering Jadoo TV. Read the reviews before you buy it

      Google "reditt jadoo tv"

You can VPN to different countries and get different payment rates.

The channels available do change based on the country you select though - something to be aware of.

Can you show me proof ? What code did they give you.

      • +1

I will send the detail in PM

        • Good job. Did they provide you code ?

Add add and add!! Indian channels!!

  • I paid 108 and got two months extra, though that was back in September.

  • Psst for anyone not thinking they are in the right demographics they got 4K prints of new releases showing as well lol

  • Can this account be shared? If yes, is anyone willing to share?

    • Will stream on only device at a time iirc.

      • Don’t think so, we shared when I was in EU to watch ipl once

  • LOL. I just paid $110 for my renewal. I did not even realize that it is a deal; as the rep called me and offered the package. End up getting the Hindi Urdu package.

  • Got it..good.

  • +1

Anything for Pakistani shows? They're much better.

    • anybody? My parents are still using satellite and i want to get them something. Not sure whether to go with jadoo box or one of the other options like jiotv

  • Yup Tv Australia has fewer channels and streams only at 360P very poor quality.

The "Premium" illegal sites stream most of their channels at 720p or higher (popular channels streamed at 1080p)

    • -1

Thats not true. Quality is HD. It also offers movies as well.

Piracy is just another form of stealing.

      • -1

        No.

It is not stealing. It is copyright infringement.

And surely the resolution would be dependant upon the source.

  • Has anyone here managed to put Vodafone xstream on an android box.

  • Are Yup TV live and catchup different subscriptions? Or will the live sub allow to watch catchups?

    • They do offer catchups.

      • I get that, but are those catchups included as part of live subscriptions?

        • Yes.

          • @takeshi: Thanks!

  • They have to be the worst company I've ever had to deal with. They charge exorbitant additional fees for activating on the second device even if you have paid annual subscription. And quality is terrible and full of ads. You pay for shit tv with ads (you can't skip some). I'm stuck with my package but won't ever renew it again. Their customer service is atrocious. My advice, stay clear.

Much better alternative is ZEE5, Hotstar (via VPN) and even using KODI.

    • Hi, can I subscribe to HOTSTAR using VPN using AU credit card and then watch without VPN from AU?

      • Nope. You need the vpn running to watch Hotstar

      • Yes, you can subscribe but you'll have to get someone to pay for it in India using paytm etc and transfer them money.

This is what i did and i have Hotstar premium $22 for year.

    • Thanks for the review. Are these ads the same that are displyed when viewing TVs in India, or there are many more inserted apart from them? My mom does not mind viewing ads as long as she get to watch saas-bahu serial bits in between.

      • +1

Lots of ads, more than usual. So when you first select to watch something you get ads but marketed to NRIs and mostly UAE products or money transfer, web products etc. Then during the program there are ads for up to 5 mins at 5 - 10 mins interval. It's mainly advertising the channel's shows. So you end up watching more ads than the show. Also those ads are repetitive for weeks so you watch them until your brains explode.

Funny part is, you pay to watch this. Never again!

        • Repetitive TV Show Ads? No thanks. They are more torturous than product ads.

    • Hotstar doesn't have many channels only Star channels. Check my below comment.

  • I managed to login to my parents Tatasky and got it working with VPN. It works in my phone but not in Android box.

    • Phone too small to view tv long durations.

    • It needs a newer android box which connects to TV or Android TVs. My android box is very old.

      • Maybe I can try sideloading that on my FireTV stick when i get some free time. But I suspended my services when I moved here :( Will try my cousins account :D

        • Username checks out.

        • Any success with fireTV?

          • @ozdesi: Didn’t bother to try yet as there are no new tv serials being filmed. Mom lost interest.

    • @avbargainer - which VPN do you use? I am considerng VPN + tatasky..

  • I have to ask. Is this better then using Kodi to get streams?

  • Do they offer sports package?

    • When IPL happens, they provide it for free. But I dont see any sporting events happening in near future.

  • Has anyone noticed the credit card statement has charges slightly higher than what was supposed to be? Is there any currency fee?

    • How much did they charge you ? I was charged correctly.
