Neg? Console guys don't like us to play on PC?

    • +2

It's an Amazon price match to this deal from HN.

      I didn't neg you though.

      • Understand it is a good deal just want it on PC.

        • -3

I highly recommend you just do a month of premiere for $20. This game is not worth full price let alone $40. Practically zero playability, customisation isn't great, clunky movement and combat at times. Just really not worth a purchase.

          • +1

@Kozhutki: Customization doesn't serve any purpose except cosmetics.

Finished on gtx 1080 ti and hiccuped every now and then

            • @kehuehue: Customisation also includes the builds you can do, which there's pretty much no depth. By the end of the playthrough you will have mostly everything.

              It's just a shitty game.

          • @Kozhutki: Sure it doesn't have the replayability of an open world game, and customisation is arguably limited (though I'm unsure what you would want to customise), but claiming this game has clunky movement/combat is a bit of a stretch. I do appreciate it mightn't have clicked with you though.

            • @AlanHB: What's a stretch? In areas it was clunky, I didn't say it was always clunky.

I finished the game, it had nothing to do with it clicking with me. I don't like Star Wars but that's completely irrelevant. Nice action scenes, $30 at most.

              • @Kozhutki: So you'd pay $30 for a shitty game? I think you're just exaggerating things for the hell of it mate. If it were as bad as you say it was, you likely wouldn't have finished it.

  • Is it a physical disk or a code?

    • Looks like it's the physical disk

  • uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…. just ordered CC at Harveys.

  • +1

Ty, was considering buying from HN but now I can avoid the covid.

    • +17

People should have already been avoiding Gerry Harvey for myriad reasons.

  • About bloody time, $40 was my trigger price for this - also happy to avoid going out to pick it up.

  • +1

Let's see if Sekiro get's the same love.

    • Damn, now I'm torn. I really want Sekiro for Xbox One but usually try to avoid Harvey Norman whenever possible. Amazon don't seem to have the Xbox version in stock so I doubt there will be a price match for me…

      • Is this still good enough reason to avoid? $29

        • +1

No I don't think so. It doesn't get cheap very often so think I am going to cave haha.

      • You could try price matching it at JB.
Or if you have a Target nearby, see if they have a copy, as they have it for $30 (it says out of stock, but this isn't always accurate).

  • +3

Think I'll give it few months - should be $30 by then

This is a great price though.

    • +4

Nothing like the Apocalypse to make you value the present though…

      • +1

I went out on Saturday to get groceries for my wife’s grandfather and came home with his shopping and a complete bathroom spa for our house. The wife ’wasn’t overly pleased’

    • Waiting till I can get it for a fiver

  • Damn, bought it's used for $39

    • +3

It's ok, I think the binary code is the same, used or new.

      • +1

Yeah, you're right. I'd just prefer my money to go towards the developers rather than EB Games.

        • -2

the publisher already has the money though

          • @Kozhutki: If they sell 20 copies of a game they get paid twenty times, but if they sell 1 copy but it is resold twenty times they get paid once.

  • Great price but any idea when it will be available on EA Access?

    • +2

probably not for years because it's a good game that people will pay money for

      • -4

        huh?

it's on premiere on PC and it's a first party title so that logic doesn't apply at all. It's obviously some issue with Sony/Xbox.

        • sorry I wasn't aware they have obviously added Premier in the last hour to EA Access forgive my lack of logic

  • Ok. Important question. Is this game any good?

      • Since my order for Sekiro from Harvey got cancelled, I had to opt and buy this instead. Thanks Amazon for price matching.

        • Did HN cancel your order during checkout? Or after they'd sent the confirmation email and taken payment?

          • @bronan: After they'd sent the confirmation email and taken payment

            • @Thomas C: Then here's hoping that if my order is cancelled, it happens before Amazon runs out of stock.
Do you mind if I ask when you placed your order? Mine was 10:17am.

    • I've got all trophies for this on Xb1 so I've played the game extensively. I really enjoyed the game and the story is actually very good once it gets into it. I paid $45 for the deluxe edition at cdkeys and think it's definitely worth it especially $40 for the standard edition. The game also takes a good while to finish so will be handy for something to do for those at home.

    • Its got some set pieces of Uncharted 4, some elements of Lara croft tomb raider and fighting style like Souls or sekiro where proper parry is your friend. I paid $49 for this and no regrets at all.

      • the climbing in this game is god awful and you are expected to fall off a lot. That's why you respawn with only a slight health loss.

Uncharted and to a lesser extent TR, will give you handhold assistance. You don't have to be precise, you will grab onto a ledge as long as you jump in the correct general direction. You don't get that assistance in this game and it is annoying.

    • I didn't really like it.
I rated Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy 10. Then this is about a 5.

    • i thought it was ok.

I have a lot of complaints about it though.

  • Same price at EB, picked it up on the weekend

  • -1

I don't recommend playing this game on console. At least for XBOX ONE S - because the system is not powerful enough to run. Lots of frame rate drops and choppiness that renders it unplayable.

I would only purchase this game on PC with a decent rig on sale.

    • 30 fps wtf..

Jedi: Fallen Order is optimized to push the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X to their limits. Respawn's new singleplayer-only Star Wars game will have to separate modes on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X: a mode that prioritizes resolution with upscaled 4K visuals at 30FPS, and a performance mode that hits 1080p 60FPS

    • +1

      What about Xbox One X?

      • +1

Seems fine for n performance to me.

    • +1

You are right that it does have issues on CBox One S, but it does seem limited to One S. One X doesn't have those issues.

  • +3

I was excited for this game until I saw the trailer and they filled the game with spiders. No thanks :(

    • The trailer looks really boring to play, but will consider buying one if below $10. Let's wait until Xmas.

      • I just got it and I find it incredibly dull. It seems so unimaginative in gameplay and story while visuals are top notch. It feels like a rail shooter, combat is limited constantly to narrow pathways and the combat feels very planted to the ground. Despite being a Jedi, you fight stiffly and slowly.

  • Cheers OP! Bought one

  • PC version $89.95 :(

    • It's on Origin Access

      • +1

I don't like renting games. I like to keep them

        • +1

i would totally rent if it were possible. I don't play a game more than once anyway. You'd save a lot of money that way. No point owning something you won't use again.

  • decent game, lacking polish - but fun lightsaber action

  • i hope you enjoy backtracking. The areas are huge and you will return to them, and there's no fast travel.

And like most games, there's a ton of collectibles.

  • +1

I wonder who Amazon will price match once Harvey Norman, Target and/or Big W dies?

  • I personally enjoyed it, it’s actually a pretty hard game!

  • I got this game by getting EB to price match HN.

I'm finding it very boring to play. It can be challenging but most of my deaths are by trying to grab a rope to swing and you have to get the angle precise to catch it. On top of that, why does a large rat take 3 hits from a lightsaber to die yet humans in armor die from one blaster shot or one lightsaber swing?
