3510

This deal is back except seems to apply to all stores!

Just download the chrome extension and usual purchase.

Sorry for the copy Pasta. Late one for me. Will adjust formatting in the morning.

Terms and Conditions
To qualify for the $2 Cashback Bonus, you must ‘Activate Cashback’ at any participating store through the ShopBack Button browser extension and make a transaction through that store (AU $5 minimum spend, excludes shipping) between 12am and 11.59pm AEDT (inclusive) on 29th March 2020.
Purchases through ShopBack's app, mobile site and direct desktop site do not qualify for the bonus. Purchases must be done through the browser extension.
A participating store is a store in which:
— ShopBack offers cashback for, and,
— An “Activate Cashback” prompt appears when you access the store’s website.
The $2 cashback bonus is in addition to the usual cashback you will receive for transacting through a participating store.
You must have earned at least $10 confirmed cashback from general purchases to withdraw the $2 cashback bonus.
The $2 cashback bonus will be credited separately into your ShopBack account by 29th May 2020.
Limited to one bonus per customer.
Note down the respective store’s purchases excluded from cashback, as the purchase of such items will not qualify you for the bonus.
Returned, exchanged and cancelled orders will void your eligibility for the bonus.
If your tracked cashback is rejected, your bonus will be voided.
ShopBack reserves the right to dishonour bonuses for members who have participated in this offer in a fraudulent manner (ie. using multiple accounts). Such members may be banned and any cashback on their accounts forfeited.

  • Where does it say Chrome extension?

  • Will this work even if the stores don’t pay cashback on the item like video games on amazon, or deliveroo now?

    Eg https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/8496170/redir

    • +3

      Don't think so

    • +2

Note down the respective store’s purchases excluded from cashback, as the purchase of such items will not qualify you for the bonus.

    • In the Do's on Amazon, looks like Amazon may not work with the extension:

ShopBack Extension does not work on Amazon. Be sure to clickthrough from ShopBack before adding to cart and placing an order in order for Cashback to track.

  • Anyone has their amazon cashback stuck at “calculating”?

    • +1

      Yep

    • I've got a couple stuck on "calculating".

At the start of March Amazon quietly changed their cashback rates - no longer get cashback on a lot more categories such as Grocery and Baby. I didn't realise to begin with, and was still clicking through as usual and it's those transactions are still showing "calculating".

  • So where is the "Activate Cashback"? I've used this promotion in the past there was always an "Activate Cashback" in the chrome extension. I'm not seeing anything now and it should already be live

  • +2

These extension deals never work for me. I've always got my mobile or other general click deals tracked but never these ones =(

  • +2

Anyone missing the last $2 cashback from this deal?

    • Which one? According to my calendar there are 3 web extension $2 bonuses being credited 31 March

  • What if I paid in USD like in aliepxress, but totals >$5 AUD? Should be ok?

    • +1

Need to make sure after reducing gst it's still over $5

      • +1

The t&C for this offer doesnt say anything about gst.

        • That's how Ali calculate it.

  • What about Firefox Extension?

    • +3

Mentions specifically Chrome only this time around, I would just follow their instructions to be safe.

  • +1

Anyone else have trouble with the chrome extension? I’ve made 3 purchases and none of them tracked, I had to report each one

    • +1

I've personally not had any issues with these web extension bonus offers. I also received tracking email within hour of today's purchase

According to my calendar there are 3 web extension bonus $2 cashback offers due to be credited 31/03.

    • I stop using Shopback after nothing was tracked with the extension .

      • Look at your click history. If it's there then it will track, which might take days depending on the store.

For example, eBay Australia says Tracked In 5 DAYS, Claim In 60 DAYS.

  • Sorry for the copy Pasta. Late one for me.

    Clearly. Thanks OP.

  • Ordering a Bluey book for the kids … but not released until 28 April.

I think should be ok? Last Shopback bonuses have allowed 90 day pre order time frame?

    • If it's from Amazon just be aware that Books are one of their excluded categories now

      • Ohhh what the.

But Amazon are meant to be a book store!

  • +1

If you already have the Chrome Extension in Chrome installed, do you have to uninstall it then re-install it to qualify for the $2 cashback bonus?
Terms and conditions don't say. Note to self, to be safe always re-install for bonus offers.

  • Ubereats/menulog? Makes a couple of restaurants a 'no brainer' for me

    • Wonder if codes are eligible like that $7 off one menulog..

Edit: nvm seems thats app only

  • -1

Sick of these app only or extension required deals. There's no way I would allow you to track my data via these facilities.

    • +9

What in the world do you think the cookie tracking is?

They're buying your usage pattern off you to sell to these websites, that's the entire deal here…

It's screen taps/mouse clicks, scrolls, demographics and 3rd party website stats that they collate over time so they have more accurate data on customers, like a survey.

Better than all the ones you let run free whenever you're shopping/browsing on apps or browsers without script blocking.

    • +2

You should probably stop using cashrewards and shopback then…

  • +5

Browser extension = no. I hate these "deals" (aka privacy invasions)

    • Eh I just create a new profile just for these 😂

    • +1

Just disable it while not using it to get these frequent bonuses… Easy enough to do.

    • +2

Just run a different browser (I generally use Chromium for this) for these deals if you care about browser fingerprinting (likely still link you up with IP tbh).

  • +1

Chemist Warehouse my normal go to but they stopped doing price matching on click to collect orders and they now have inflated prices due to coronavirus.

  • no Dan Murphy's and BWS :(

  • Bought some compass cufflinks.

    • +2

      Wear them when wfh?

      • Yep. I've got PJ's with french cuff sleeves. Style and comfort.

  • does Woolworths Gift Cards count? probably excluded? are there any supermarkets that still do click and collect since the covid19 lock down?

    • Nope and nope. Wish gift cards are discounts, not cashbacks.

  • Downloaded Chrome just for this. Cheers OP
