These should only be used in the case of injury since they act like a caste which prevents muscles from being used which then leads to atrophy.

    • Very true. Same applies for long term non prescribed use of LS belts..

      • If you’re lifting heavy both knee sleeves and belts are probably essential. But then again you’d be looking at items like the 7mm ones from Rehband and not some amazon special.

        • Agree, When I use a belt is usually for the last couple of series when squatting or dead lifting. It is terrible to see people using belts when doing bench press for example.

  • I have patella tracking issues, when I walk down some stairs i can hear and feel it click, been to doctors a few times, most just tell me to focus on strengthening inner thigh muscles, would these be a bad option?

    • I have the same issue, would be interested to know if these are useful.

I have patella tracking issues. What doctors say is true, permanent solution is not only strengthening but improving flexibility of inner tight and quads muscles.

Knee braces should be used as a temporal solution, besides, this one is useless as it doesn't have the hole where the patella should be to help with correct tracking.

I used to use them when starting at the gym. Now I don't use them anymore and I can squat 90 kg with no pain. Patience is the key.

    • Right. The doctor has diagnosed your condition and has provided a solution, but you're asking random people in the internet for their opinion?!

It's impossible (even for a doctor) to tell if this is any good for you without looking at your knee and this brace personally.

    • Had the same problem. Was corrected and fix (after more than six months) at physio which involved leg extensions (seated) but with my toes pointing out, ie. my feet turned out as if you were trying to bring your ankles together. This worked to isolate the inner quad muscle to better help track the patella for my problem. #

I dont wear it all the time now when training bjt it certainly helped me strengthen my knees and legs.
I have had knee surgery im the past and i recommend this product.
