@dearjeffrey: Try to offer him?
That was a good bargain, I use IPA for a lot of things around the house now. I haven't got round to mixing up a batch of hand sanitiser yet, but I have looked into it.
I don't know why people arent all over these prices https://www.sydneysolvents.com.au/isopropyl-alcohol-ipa-isop…
Plenty of Woolies brand on the shelf a couple of days ago.
Dettol Antibacterial Hand Wash is back in stock as well (it wasnt when i looked on the weekend)
https://www.amazon.com.au/Dettol-Touch-Refill-Cucumber-250ml…
Individual bottles are usually cheaper at Chemist warehouse, but i havent been able to find any of this type of stuff in stock lately for obvious reasons

Soap doesn't need to be antibacterial to wash away coronavirus.
Im sure things will be back to normal soon. These people cant possibly be spending thousands hoarding toilet paper or wipes or trying to resell them.
as if its hoarding - people oveseas can't get enough of our precious toilet paper & santiser
Thanks OP, ordered.

Diggers brand Isopropyl alcohol is available from Bunnings or Mitre 10….you'll have to regularly check your local store for stock. You can easily make an effective hand wash (100ml.)
by mixing 30 grams (about a heaped tablespoon) of Aloe Vera Gel with 70ml.of Isopropyl alcohol..
add a few drops of Lavender Oil for scent if you like. You can substitute Diggers brand Metholated Spirits if you can't get the Isopropyl.Put the mixture in a bottle and shake it…
Isopropyl is generally 70% alcohol
Metho is 95%
Follow this guide from the world health organization-
Having a little trouble finding Aloe Vera Gel in stock, but I know it's out there somewhere :).
Thanks for the suggestion.
You don't need Aloe Vera, just get some Hydrogen peroxide and Glycerol
Diggers is out of stock nearby. This 5L bottle delivered is same price as 2x 500mL diggers at bunnings https://www.sydneysolvents.com.au/isopropyl-alcohol-ipa-isop…
Sorry, no deal. Need tests after Dec 19 please.
It keeps redirecting me to my cart with nothing in it after i click buy now - must be out of stock :(
GOLD GONE
"Not a bad deal given that they have been out of stock for a while" ……
so if something is out of stock then it comes back and is pricejacked during the outbreak then its a deal …..
i think peter Dutton wants a word with the seller
Yes how time changes. Just a week or so ago, OB deal posts for toilet papers and masks were shot to pieces because they were selling at normal prices, being called out for capitalising on COVID. And now Amazon selling wipes at twice their previous price and it is a god-send ;-) P.S. I bought the same 6-pack from Amazon for $17.32 first week of March to gift elderly relatives, should have bought more :-)
There are no winners or losers these days. Just buyers. Good post OP
No more 1/2 price deals at the supermarket thanks to the panicked buyers for stockpiling.
Nearly $6 a pack!
What are the rules on OzB around whether something counts as a deal, in the context of shortages due to natural disasters etc?
Not sure if I missed a post, but it'd be nice to know OzB has clear rules about what is allowed and not allowed and for those to be made obvious somewhere, especially since we are a group that could actively promote the hoarding mentality/create limits in supply.
We announced a Moderation decision here regarding profiteering

That being said, according to the price tracker this is actually a couple of dollars cheaper than the usual price of $37.51
Thanks
I got a similar deal a couple of years ago for $12 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/358518
Lucky since I still have some left over from that deal :)
they are probably expired. and the closer they are to the expiry date, the less effective they become because the concentration rate will drop
You mean the packaging is leaking?
Evaporation I'd imagine.
@PainToad: if no leakage how to evaporate?
@SnoozeAndLose: Packing isn't air tight.
No deal
Lammmmmme
Just buy a bottle for what… $3
Costco selling this for less than $20 a month ago!
"I have 5L of Sydney Solvent exact same as this one on eBay which is being bided up to $1500 which is crazy.
I dont have an eBay account really to list so i try my luck here, i accept a reasonable price.
reason im selling is i bought 2x 5L and i dont need the extra one. please do not accuse me of price gauging Im simply accepting best offer."
I think this guy is after a lot more than what he paid for :(
