    These were $45 last week so another nice price drop. I read the Neo 11’s were actually a bit better, with the 12s receiving mixed reviews. For this price though, I’m sure it’ll be hard to go wrong. Looking forward to using them.

      Where did you read that, because I've only ever seen the opposite?

      The Neo 11 are there for $25 if you want them.

      Meze Classics 12 is loved for its sound signature, comfort and classic looks. A number of people across the world bought it at the original price. The one you mentioned is mass produced to tick all the boxes users look for without doing exceptionally well in any of the categories.

      I've just taken delivery of mine and tried them on a call with my GF, and she said the audio quality is crap from the mic.

    Got a question for anyone who knows more about earphones than I: is it possible the left an right drives could have a fault/be mismatched to the point that that one side is louder than the other?

    I've just tried out these with some music, and the stereo imaging definitely seems too far to the right; switch them over and it swaps to the left. It's like this with a number of songs on my iPhone. Also tried on my PC, and same thing on the same driver - checked the audio settings and the left/right output balance is centred.

          I am not sure, but i feel one side is louder to certain sounds (like some instruments in music).

            @[Deactivated]: It could be this earphone has a good soundstage compared to rest of yours or it is faulty.

            From one of head-fi reviews:

            Soundstage: Left and right staging has very good width, moving outward in a natural way, going up to around 4 inches away in distance for some sounds and on most songs a little out of the ear. Front and back staging distance is on the average size, while up and down depth is a little above average. Instrument separation and layering is pretty good as it prevents you from feeling or hearing any congestion in the music no matter how busy it gets. Imaging is accurate for positioning of source sounds.
