MKV is a container, so yes, will play any resolution as long as the codec is supported
- Record 1 program and watch a 2nd from the same network.
It has twin tuners?
No - single tuner, but can watch something else from the same stream as the one recording…ie: record Go, watch channel 9
My TV does not do that. For watching and recording other needs twin tuner
I know some Topfield and Strong STB's / PVR's do it…not sure if many's tv with USB recording have that.
TiVo has 2 tuners. You can record 2 channels and watch a recorded show at the same time. So I assume you can record 1 channel and watch a recorded show.
- Record 1 program and watch a 2nd from the same network.
Does this support NTFS drives or is it FAT32 only?
NTFS and Fat32
Support playing RMVB? Ethernet?
Free shipping working??? When im in the final checkout page the only option for shipping method is the $15 courier, and unless you select it there is no way to confirm the order. Am i doing something wrong is the checkout bugged or is the 'free' shipping cost 15 bangers.
Apologies, try now definitely working.
Rep, are you selling the media player separately? Can I have a link to see some more details?
On the other hand does this media player support the H.264 codec? Also interested to know if AAC and AC3 audio codecs are supported.
Cheers.
It's one box that's a DVD player, HD set top box/PVR and media player.
According to the specs, it does support H.264

What chipset does it use? Realtek 1073DD?
Rock solid Mstar chipset
OK Mstar Semi is solid indeed. I'm guessing it's Mstar 7828, but can't be sure.
+1 I like JungleJumble rep. Also now they are accepting Paypal. Yay!
needs ethernet and gigabit… nice price though..
Gb ethernet is backward compatible with 100Mb, you just don't get the speed.
erm ment to say network and bluray, would be nice to have a decent bluray player that did everything.
that would be a PS3 but Sony like to limit its capacity
LOL.. yeah, and built into a TV though… cant beat a media PC… except in start up time- and possibly navigation..
If only this had dual tuners it would be perfect for the bedroom.
You can achieve, in effect, the same thing as what this unit does for only $73.98 from DSE…
- DSE DVD player for $29.98 +
DSE HD STB with timer recording for $44.00
= $73.98
The advantage of having separate units is that if one craps out you can replace it cheaply. Disadvantage is you have two remotes etc.
This would be great to replace my WD TV media player, DVD Player and STB.
Any reviews out there?
Let me know whether it plays 720p mkv files
hey rep will this play 1080p or 720p MKV files?
