20

Hi Guys,

I have another couple of deals this week on projectors for you!

The first is the newly released Benq W1100 Full HD 1080P Home Theatre projector. This little ripper is the latest in a long line up of great projectors from Benq.

Specs can be found here: http://www.benq.com.au/product/projector/w1100

The W1100 is the cheapest in Australia. (considering it is a new model and it has a current RRP of $1799 - not that it really matters - this a already a good discount for a new model!)

Check Shopbot, GetPrice, My Shopping etc - this is a clear bargain!

We also have the Epson EH-TW4500 on special as well.

This is a great piece of Home Theatre equipment and meets the market at a price that makes a high end picture within a lot of people reach.

As an added bonus the Epson also comes with a free bluray player by redemption!

The specs on this unit are here: http://epson.com.au/products/projector/EH-TW4500.asp

The EH-TW4500 cheapest price on any of the sites above is around $2500 making this a really good deal also!

Both projectors come with 2 years warranty

The projectors are 100% Australian delivered with full Australian Warranty - No grey imports!

Pickup is of course free … I have store in 2 locations now:

Melbourne - 1 International Crt, Scoresby

or

Sydney - Unit 4 / 1a Coulson Street, Erskineville

If you have any questions regarding this product, or any that I sell please feel free to contact me on (03) 9763 1000, by email at [email protected] or in store.

Dont forget we still have the deals on the other Epsons (EH-TW3200, EH-TE3600, EH-TW5500) and the Benq rage too (W1000+ and W6000) all of which can be found here: http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/projectors-1?PageNo=1&P…

Matt

  • Is this supposed to be a bargain? What are the savings?

    • Hi ca6leguy,

Sorry guess I should have laid that out in the OP.

The W1100 is the cheapest in Australia.

Check Shopbot, GetPrice, My Shopping etc - this is a clear bargain!

Your link on ebay is from a seller from US. I assume it is not the 230V.

opps sorry, ment to plus you… ca6leguy
edit: (so im actually saying somthing semi useful too)
        Works worldwide from 100 - 240V, 50/60HZ.

most are switching and just use standard PC plugs so its not too big an issue. once you add shipping its really not worth buying from overseas on this item…
ALSO!!! you have to pay import duties+GST on anything over 1K, so the one you have shown will actually be MORE expensive than this one after all costs!

I'm usually the first to jump on that boat…

    • +4

      Thats from the USA -

      NO WARRANTY in Australia

      and

      NO FREE BLURAY Player

… Have to compare apples with apples!!

Overseas stock vs local stock. Can you provide evidence of equal warranty to justify your neg?

When it comes to phones/dslrs, people are prepared to pay ~$100 more for local stock and warranty. This thing is about 3-4x more in total cost and around ~$200-$300 more expensive then the overseas stock.

It's a 1% discount on the next cheapest place on staticice for the BenQ, $15. So yes, this is a deal, but it's not much of one and not going to gather many votes.

  • hey matt do you know what trigger wire plug the w6000 uses?

was going to head down to jaycar today and hazard a guess and make my own cable to the projector as i cant seem to find anything ready made.

  • If we were to combine the epson with a projector fixed screen and a ceiling mount, do you have some sort of deal for that?

    • Hi pretzelmania,

For sure - We can put together a pack for you.

Send me an email to [email protected] with what you would like (and perhaps even the price you would like to pay) and I will come back to you!

      Regards,

      Matt

  • Hi Matt,

Do you have an ETA on the new Panasonic PT-AE7000 and the new Epson Home Cinema 3100 that is / has just been launched???

    • Hi Maz78,

I dont have an ETA on the Panasonic as yet but the Epson will be late next month. The pricing is still yet to be confirmed to me but I can tell you it is going to be really sharp!

      Cheers,

      Matt

  • That is a huge price difference between 2 models that appear to do the same job.
Why would you choose the Epson? Is it optical vs digital keystone correction - the specs are hard to read.

    • They are a different projector.

One is LED, one is DLP.

They both do the same thing but at different quality levels.

A better comparison for the W110 is probably the EH-TW3200 from Epson:

      http://www.thecableconnection.com.au/Epson-TW3200-Full-HD-pr…

      • think you ment LCD

        • Been a long day ;) - Thanks Wisc!

      • I saw the LCD vs DLP in the specs, but am not aware of any important differences to the consumer these days.
Similar look, efficiency, brightness, lamp life. You say "quality" but give no examples. Just like a shop-floor sales guy who doesn't want to say the difference is the margin :-)
How does it look better? Or you mean reliable (evidence?) ? Noise? … It is a massive price difference.

  • Any LED full HD projectors coming soon?

  • And for how.much $$$$$? :)

    • How much for cash did you mean?? ;) and fullhd LED - nothing that I am aware of even on the radar :(

      • think it was one lot of questions,
any LED projectors, if so what do they cost…(not whats your cash price)

        • Again well pointed out.

LED projectors are already here but they tend to be pocket projectors rather than full size units.

They are priced from as little as $50 - $100 when on sale.

        • yeah not full HD as yet, and not very bright either..

cant wait to see one with one of the HUGE LEDs, huge leds cost about 200 bux alone and are mega bright, they use them in lecture halls. think they would be a couple thousand lumen

  • Arh, ok my mistake. I have seen a lot of Full size led projectors but they are ones that accept a 1080p hdmi connection and display it in their native res around 800x600 or so.

So maybe rephrase my question then.
What's the highest native res. LED projector out there? Even a 720p would be pretty good. ;)

I just like the longer (pretty much don't have to replace) lamp life, and the lower operating energy normally around 50w instead of 200w+. Cheers.

    • Got it! :)

As far as I am aware the highest res on a current model LED projector is 800x600 but most are only 640x480.

The brightness level leaves a lot to be desired on these and they need to be used in a very dark room / area with a maximum screen size of around 50 inches.

I think we will eventually see LED becoming the norm but not for a few more years yet I am afraid.
