$5 cheaper than the current Big W special.
Time to refer myself again to get another 80gb of data for “free” (or technically get paid $5 this time after the $20 referral credit).

I think there was some cases of people referring themselves recently who got both their numbers cancelled. Be cautious.
^^^This^^^
Effectively $15 for 6 months unlimited Calls, Text and Dialup Internet
How come 6 months?
$40 + $20 referral credit = 6 months x $10 plan (only 1GB internet p/m tho)
1GB then 64k shaping though
When does the starter kit expire?
12 months from the purchase date.
Don't refer yourself too many times. Your number will be disconnected.
I wouldn't even do it once anymore. Previous deal posts comments say you will have your account removed and lose your number. Then you have to send multiple messages to try and get your number back.
can this be price matched at officeworks?
Perfect if your name is John Smith. Going to re fill dad's old stamp collecting albums with obsolete burner sim's.
Signing up for prepaid for 3 months keep the number til it expires then buy s new SIM.
Bargain still waiting for telecommunication companies to make 1 or 2 terabyte mobile home band plans, all linked under your phone plan, 5g is more then capable even 4g, so why not make one plan not ADSL, fibre ect. Your payng double in the arse.
Even Google translate couldn't convert this to English for me.
It's okay, I made sure Google couldn't translate it in 46, countries.
I thought it was just me :)
Is that all post office, even the local one with newsagency attached?
Where's the referral link for belong on OzBargain? Can't see it on this listing.
Belong Mobile store has to be linked. I've made a report.
Here you go
random Belong referral pool
Can anyone explain how this can be used to increase my currently available data on my existing $10 (1GB) monthly plan?
Activate it in a family member's name, preferably a different address to yours then gift the 80GB to your account.
Preferably with a different surname. And different gender. Try not to use someone with the same initials. Or born in the same decade. Oh, and you can only do it once or they'll accuse you of violating the intention of data transfers.
Man these Belong t&c's are hard to keep up with.
$5 cheaper than the current Big W special
I cannot see any Big W special for Belong at the moment. Please provide link.
It's in the current catalogue page 37 here
Thanks.
Big W's search engine must be horribly broken.
Sorry, your search for "Belong" did not return any results
It does not say how much data included and when does the data expire?
You'll find the info you're looking for here
Data doesn't expire. https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/belongmobile
Thanks.
Not quite true. The Starter kits expire after 1 year from activation/purchase.
Annaise didn't ask when the starter kits expire though. Regardless I provided a link to the Whirpool Wiki which pretty much explains everything.
Also your comment is misleading. You make it sound as though you get 1 year to use the data after activating the starter pack with nothing more to pay.
There's a difference between purchase activation and mobile activation. Sorry for the possible confusion.
Can I use this to top up my existing account that I currently have my number with. My previous belong prepaid runs out in a month?
No you can't. But you can port out to another provider, then use this starter kit to port back in.
Ok. Thanks. Might see if there's any better deals then but this one still seems quite good.
You could still buy this now as it's valid for 12 months from the purchase date.
Then port to Catch or Kogan 90 day plan, then port back to Belong after that.
Catch Connect 60GB, 90 Days ID 834, $9.90 after cashback
Kogan Mobile | $14.90 for 90 Days | 20GB Per 30 Days
@Arthur Dunger: Ooh, good idea. Cheers I might do that.
@K1ngJony: Just beware Catch is Optus and Kogan is Vodafone.
How long does it usually take to activate the SIM after purchase?
I get this when I register and can't tell if Auspost stuffed up:
We don't have a record of your SIM purchase as it can take up to 24 hours to be confirmed. Please try again in a couple of hours.
So I bought at about 12pm from Auspost, purchase activation seemed to happen sometime between 2pm and 4pm.
I was a bit worried since I was due to roll over on Kogan tonight, and Belong said the sim activation would take around 4 or more hours, which would leave me out of a mobile plan overnight. Thankfully the number port took all of 10 minutes.
Thanks Ozbargain!
Was able to pricematch at officeworks, as it's on the online catalog as well. https://auspost.com.au/shop/online-catalogue
hi all, is anyone having trouble connecting the service? just bought this earlier and keep getting an error message when trying to connect. call centers also closed today.
I activated a service on Monday with no issues
not sure what happened but i tried to sign up using an existing Belong account (i had bought a plan last year which is now expired). i signed up using a different email and the connection went through fine.
Belong only allows one broadband and one mobile service per account.
This is possibly one of the most silliest restriction I have come across.
This is great with the referral system - going to sign up my parents!!
anyone got a spare to sell?
or can get me 1 when they are getting one? I got no way to go anywhere at moment >_<
Got one the other day, but mine had a sticker on it that said '24 hour activation period applies'
No idea what that means
Did you figure out what it meant?
No. I needed to activate it straight away anyway so it didn't make a difference to me.
Perfect timing. Need to stock up again. Cheers op
