@Ayevee: What makes someone a shoe expert? The shoes/boots I've owned: Aquila, Florsheim, Rossi, Gator, Blundstone, Rivers, Diadora, RM Williams, Loake 1880 range, Herring, Trickers, Barker, Crockett & Jones bench grade and hand grade. How does that compare to your experience?

@abc12345: As I've said, price and brand. They don't make any quality products. They are widely known as being garbage. If that's what you're happy with it, then buy them. If you want something that lasts and looks good, buy from reputable brands such as RM Williams and Loake if your budget is a bit tight.
Shoe quality appreciation in Australia is extremely lacking, hence why any decent shoe bargain posted on this site gets several comments from those confused as to why someone would pay over $200 for a pair.
@kahn: It’s all about educating the consumer. Admittedly I used to think people were nuts to be spending several hundred or even thousands on shoes and accessories to keep the shoes in good condition. After learning from forums and learning did I realise that I was the schmuck buying $50 boots from Kmart and having to make the yearly visit.
@kahn: @Kahn : What makes a shoe exprt ? definetly not someone who's only claim is to have brought different branded shoes. I must say that I am not as rich or experienced in buying multiple branded shoes but I happen to have done short apprenticeship in a shoe factory so know little bits about shoes, leather and quality. I will "try" and post back my review when I get my hands on these shoes
