SanDisk Cruzer Blade 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive $3 @ Harvey Norman

120

I went to Harvey Norman @ City Cross, Adelaide to grab a USB to submit my work to university. Although the current price on the website and inside the store is marked at $7. It's a surprise for me that it only costs $3 when I paid for it at the checkout counter as in the receipt. I'm not sure if it's store specific or national wide though. The cheapest price is $2, but I think with $3 it is still a steal.

  • That is indeed cheap. Can anyone else confirm if this price is store specific or nationwide?

    • It should not only be nationwide, but also matched at JB too.
They were having trouble clearing stock. Still plenty available at my local.
A 50% price increase on the previous deal is interesting, but they are trying to find the market clearing price.

      • I would think one would need to present an original receipt or show the advertised price if any of the other retailers would price match.

        • They most likely won't have to. It'll be in their systems.
Stock was still stickered at $7 when I picked up one for $2.

  • USB 2.0…

Good enough for sharing photos with grandma - she can plug it into her 486 and go play lawn bowls while it downloads.

Find me a USB 3.0 drive for this price. If I wanted to buy 20 of these to give to students or parents, I'd buy this instead of the more expensive USB 3.0 ones.

  • Got 10 of these when it was for $2
Don't know what to do with them!

    • PM me if you want to sell them.

  • USB to submit my work to university.

Surely you upload to a university server?

They require me to submit a USB or a CD. I'm not sure why they are not allowed to upload or send by email.

        CD

Checks calendar. Definitely not 2007. Weird.

I still prefer to burn CD or DVD when sending documents of importance, principally because it is read only and no risk of erasing/altering the data.

Depends on what you're using it for.
