I have been searching for the new YOYO² Stroller. All other retailers are selling for $829.99, except Baby Kingtom who's currently running a promotion at $699.99. It also seems like they have product in stock unlike some others you'll have to wait until April or May. It seems to be a great deal if you're trying to source one.
Babyzen YOYO² Stroller Frame & Colour Pack $699.99 + Delivery OR Free Click&Collect (RRP $829.99) @ Baby Kingdom

Don't waste your money, buy a knockoff from ebay for less than $130. Search "babytime". We've had no probs with ours. We have had it for 2-3 years as a back-up, and to go in our hatchback and in carry on. Brilliant.
Totally agree. I have a genuine yoyo, then bought a fake and could not tell the difference at all.
thanks for the heads up
Wow.. it does look identical! Is it the same weight wise too? Folds one handed the same way I presume?
There's a few different sellers, I assume they're all the same/ similar. Very light and easy to fold up.
I just did some research - https://shop.treehutvillage.com.au/blogs/prams-buggies-and-s…
TLDR: the main differences are around basket size, and overall quality. Probably not worth a $500 premium for most, but I do value the space under the pram
I totally agree buying an expensive pram is totally not worth it.
Unless you plan on having two kids so that the pram
1) Can carry two kids
2) Can hold a car seatWe bought a strider compact for i think around 1k , came with a infant car seat and additional second seat .
In my opinion if you just have one kid then just buy a 50$ pram from Kmart that can allow the kid to lie flat and has a sunroof. We use that now since my kids are big now and only the youngest needs a pram.
also have a 'fauxyo' that gets more use than our redsbaby jive due.
It's been with us to a few countries and still rock solid
still good to have the full size pram from newborn for the bassinet etc though
New to all this, and my mind is blown for what they charge for basic aluminium and caster wheels. I got the vibe that the Redsbaby were "THE pram" to get, bust missed out on the recent $350 metro offer. Are you saying the 'Fauxyo' is better? (Got a baby coming in July). Any links to the 'Fauxyo'.
Kid 1: The most expensive * rated pram we could find
Kid 2: To the above, a pretty decent stroller
Kid 3: Why do we have a pram
Kid 4: $50 McLaren on gummieKid 5: Don't go out!
I think you have to buy an extra pack to use it from newborn. We ended up buying a baby jogger City tour 2 when we went on holidays so we could use it from newborn. Plus the Phil and Ted travel pram is even lighter, you can use it from newborn and it's $199 from baby bunting until 12pm today.
Yeah we ended up with a city tour 2 with the carry cot because the city elite we got second-hand was way too heavy and bulky for my wife to deal with. Gotta say the city tour 2 is so small and light it comes with us everywhere now with barely a second thought to it.
The Phil and Teds Go buggy you mentioned looks pretty damn good for the price. The only thing I wish it had was a lifting calf support. But the compatible capsule is also on sale for $199.50. So you can have a complete compact travel system for under $400:

Yeah, we went with City Tour 2 as we could lift the calf support haha, pretty sure that's why we didn't go for the phil and ted's pram. After our holiday the city tour became the pram we leave in the car for whenever we go out, so much easier to lift in and out of the car, leaves plenty of space for luggage and everything else. I have a big pram that lives at home for walks to the park and running etc.
The Phil and Ted cocoon is also an option with any pram that has a lie flat seat: https://au.philandteds.com/products/cocoon only $99.
Just to confirm, the capsule is only good for 6 months? And you would also need a cocoon?
Lastly, what is a lifting calf support?
Phil and Teds pram is no longer on sale at baby bunting.
The capsule wouldn't be necessary if you buy the cocoon - neither is actually necessary as bub can just lie flat on the seat - but if you purchase the cocoon you can have bub facing you rather than forward.
The lifting calf support is just the ability to pick up/put down the part of the seat from the knee onwards - we have it lifted at the moment as our bub's feet wouldn't reach down to the footrest so they'd just be dangling. When bubs is lying down, it's good to have the calf rest up so the whole body is lying down. Once they are older and longer, you can put the leg support down and they can rest their feet on the footrest.
@em: Cheers. Isn't the capsule for putting in the car? vs the cocoon which looks like a glorified gym bag?
@tunzafun001: Lol @ gym bag analogy. Yeah the capsule is good for transferring from car to pram without waking up bubs, but they're in kind of a reclined sitting crunched up position. The cocoon allows them to sleep completely flat
@tunzafun001: Capsule is only good for six months then you need a proper rear facing car seat. Babies shouldn't be sleeping for long periods in capsules anyway. Better and safer to lie flat.
@em: I saw a car seat for birth to 4 years (seems to make a capsule redundant)?
Looks like they pivot to a flat position, or upright for a seated position. Nothing on the market that clips these things onto a pram frame?
@tunzafun001: The 0-4 convertible car seat? I don't think so, maybe overseas they have it. The Britax Brava/Graphene/Compaq seats are good and will get you extended rear facing as well.
I never wanted to lift a car seat in and out of the car to be honest. And since they're not supposed to sleep for long periods in a car seat I don't see the point anyway.
@em: We borrowed a maxi Cosi Mico capsule from the in laws for the first couple of months, but have given up and just go with the car seat since my wife found the capsule way too heavy and cumbersome to use
@em: Ok, so we were considering the Redsbaby Metro pram. Just to check, the bassinet can't be used securely in a car? But the cocoon above can?
So would need a capsule if the baby was to sleep in the car. A capsule is easier to remove from a car than a seat?
Then after about 6 months we would need a car seat regardless as they will outgrow the capsule.
Then around 1.5 years a light stroller would be better than the Metro and ideally get one with a leg (calf) support?
@tunzafun001: The cocoon is not a car seat or capsule, you just use it in a pram with a flat lay seat for extra security.
We use a 0-4 car seat and you are correct, we don't remove it from the car. I just take the baby out of the car seat.
And yes most capsules are 0-6 months, you might find some that will go to 12 months if you have a small baby.
We use the travel pram for travel, at the shops and used to use it at people's houses for naps/walks. We just leave it in the car. It's really handy. The big comfy pram is heavy and tends to stay at home. I use it all the time as well though, we often go for walks to the library and Park etc.
@em: Ok, thanks for your help.
@tunzafun001: No worries. It's always confusing at the start haha.

https://totsonthego-com-au.myshopify.com/collections/for-sal…I love my babyzen YoYo plus for the improvements they made after the first gen and I also value storage without compromising the weight and performance (better pram basket, zip storage pocket hidden away behind the seat).
Love the sleek harness buckle, leather handle (old one can get dirty marks) and wheel suspensions on this one!Head to the baby expo thats coming up in a few weekends, I picked mine up there for $600
Does anyone have a link for the BabyZen knock off pram?
I love the yoyo! It's practically replaced the redsbaby for our little one
