Does anyone wear a tie any more? I'm in consulting and the last bastions of tie wearers, ANZ, gave up on them nearly two years ago. No one else has worn them in years.
^Hence ties shops are going out of business. My observation is the same in the 21st century. I have seen multinational corporations, professional consultants, from the bottom ranks to the top managing directors, no longer wear ties… those who do are likely going to a wedding, door to door religious people, or going to a job interview :-)
So true… What happened to Hats after 60s is happening to ties now!!
I actually wear one everyday, just personal preference - I'm the exception at my workplace (superannuation industry).
