Greetings everyone, a few different sources have confirmed that this Saturday, 29th of February, Red Rooster are giving out a free regular chips in all of their stores :)

In 2020 we all get an extra day. YAY!

      Red Rooster crawl completed.

      Result: 8 free Regular Chips!

      Interesting stats/info:

      • Should have been 9 but the stupid Red Rooster map had some pins in the wrong places (like ~10kms off) which I failed to notice until after Google maps directed me there, and I didn't want to backtrack.
      • At the first store, the till operator asked "Just the one?" And I reflexively answered "yes". Duh!
      • Only one store gave out a receipt.
      • Two stores packaged them in paper bags.
      • Half the stores gave out napkins (usually 3), half didn't.

        nice haul. i ended up with 10. some stores also asked if it was "just the one." i'm like nah..wait!..nah

        went through the drive-through for all of them. too easy :)

          One is never enough, right.
          I waited at drive-thru for what seemed an extended time…
          Cooked fresh, these were the best fast food chips I've had in a long time, and not just because they were free.
          It was nearing closing time of 8:55 pm.
          They were obviously cooked fresh and to order.

            @Spending2Much: One of mine (from the Morley Galleria store) was the first pulled from a new batch - they were almost too hot to hold/eat. But, damn, they were nice!

          Yep, that's the one!

          Had to go from Bassendean to the Balcatta Recycling Centre and back anyways. My first planned route took in 13 stores, but I thought that was stretching it a bit. Pared it down to a more reasonable 9, but didn't pay close enough attention to the store names with respect to pin positions ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    The Red Royalty app must be scanned or mobile number provided at the time of transaction, before the transaction is closed out to earn or redeem loyalty dollars.

    Damn no free chips for kids.

      You don't need to scan any app. Just walk in and get the chips. Have all your brats angels 😇 line up individually in separate transactions.

      Had a look on their Facebook page and seems like the franchises haven't been advised well.. From what I can tell, nothing is required (purchase or membership) to get these as per the T&C's so it's annoying that the franchises are making stuff up.

    The guy at spencer street station red rooster was asking anyone who wanted the free chips to do a jump in front of him. May be different for other stores.

    Anybody gone to Red Rooster yet ? I was wondering if the staff has actually prepared the chips and just hand out the chips to customer like Cheesecake Shop promo on the other day. It will be much easier for customer (ie. rock up and asking for free chips and the staff saying "What ???")

    got the free chips a couple of hours ago at the upstairs Southern Cross Station store.
    Was surprised there was no queue but the chips was ready-made so it was instant, no waiting time for cooking. Very organized store.
