  • That's an amazing price for any coffee!

Wonder if any Victorian Coles have the same, I'll have to take a look tomorrow.

  • How many packs were there when you left?

    • 3 Bags of Harris Whole Beans, and around probably 5 or so Harris ground beans. I think there was like 3 for both caffe aurora coffee whole and ground

      • Chances are they're probably sold out by now then.

I picked up 6kg of several different brands of beans last week at Wollongong Coles. Staff said they're not stocking those brands anymore. Keep an eye out nationwide.

  • What is the expiry date?

    • The ones remaining on the shelf were around jun/2020 for Harris whole beans.

  • Caffe Aurora Coffee Italian Style 1kg (Whole & Ground)

Wonder where are they grown and what kind of beans they are for such a price, must be robusta and not Arabica I guess as their other products have Arabica all over the packaging.

Not many good reviews, origin and content is still a mystery.

    • Ever heard the expression "don't look a gift horse in the mouth"?

I just like to know what I am drinking, that's all. Here's informative post on robusta vs arabica which answers on why it is cheaper and where it is most likely produced if someone is wondering like I did

        • I'll help you out, the Harris coffee is way better for espresso coffee. Aurora is often $10/kg and is pretty weak across the board, Crema, flavours etc. They plug it as an Italian bean "blend". At $10/kg it isn't the worst coffee (ie Robert Timms beans are worse). Put it this way, if ALDI beans are $11-$12 per kg, I'd rate this coffee value at $8/kg. So at $3/kg it would be a good 'only got 10sec to down a coffee at work' coffee'.

    • Or they could just be on clearance.
