EDIT: had to use Chrome mobile.

  • Got it, thanks!

  • is it only for selected items or for any items?

  • Thx OP great deal

  • Got it wohooo

  • +5

Keep in mind there may be delayed shipping times at the moment - two of my suppliers have cancelled orders, one was AFTER it shipped but before it left China.

  • Be careful, expiries in Feb 2020

    • According to the coupon within the profile page it expires March 1st

  • For some reason it's not working

    Coupon Name: JV_lost_400_200_FEB

    JV lost 400 of what??

    • +1

      400 of 200 obviously

  • Don't forget cashback.

    • its a coupon will it still work?

      • +2

No guarantee, but I've found most codes still allow cashback with Ali despite the requisite warnings from both SB and CR

        No harm in trying.

  • +4

Is it greyed out for anyone?

    • Yeah it’s greyed out for me, not sure what to do.

  • Are people still getting this? Have changed everything but still getting it greyed out?!

    • Nvm, got it

  • Can anyone recommend a USB C 3.0 / 3.1 to USB A cable?

    • Definitely. Don't know what I'd do without one.

    • yes i can recommend you to buy one

  • Instructions unclear.

    • +2

Go to the website change country to ship to Russia and change currency to Roubles if it does not change automatically and then click the link and get the coupon then change back to Australia and AUD that's it.

      • Thankyou, I changed my delivery address to a Russian one in my address book, this and the previous post was a little ambiguous.

        • +2

you don't need to change delivery address just at the top of the website change ship to and currency to Russia

          • +1

@Doovik: Yeah I know that now based on your comment, hence thank you. :)

Uuurgh AliExpress. I've bought a lot of items from AliExpress (and eBay) on 3 occasions I've had to raise a dispute. On each occasion they found in favour of the seller. Each time their explanation showed that they had little understanding of the dispute or English, the language that the item was advertised in. So they default to the seller, without explanation or an opportunity to challenge the finding. On top of this the seller ratings are on average significantly lower than eBay's feedback rating. Aliexpress feedback ratings are usually under 96%, Ebay's is usually over 98%. This means you're 2, 3 probably 4 times more likely to have a negative shopping experience on AliExpress than eBay.

    • Have bought a lot of stuff through Ali Express, you get to figure out the dodgy sellers through the obvious fake reviews but every now and again you get a product not as described. Have had 2 disputes and was refunded in both cases, so YMMV.

    • Purchased over 600 items from Ali. A few disputes, but they've always been awarded in my favour, but yes, there can be language barrier issues at times.

    • Interesting. Every time I've had to use it (broken in transit) I got my money back. I write a quick description of the problem and take a lot of pics and send it via the app. If say one item is broken out of 3 I divide the cost and ask for a partial refund.

PS: They need to package things better cause I've seen how they "sort" out the packages in China.

    • I bought a couple of items from Ali, 1 was a USB charge port for a Nokia phone (charge now works, but no USB connection to PC - got a refund for that one). The other a battery, never arrived, shipping info shows it never cleared customs. They went with the seller, I appealed it, still went with seller. They said I needed to provide a letter from the post office to show I never received the parcel..wtf?.. And I paid extra for 'fancier shipping' that said guaranteed to arrive in 28 days or full refund. After 39 days I never got a refund.
      So not a great experience.

      • isn't that normal procedure, if a shipping company shows in their tracking info the package wasn't delivered, it should be very easy for you to obtain such a letter, you can simply email them, i've done so with auspost for example.

        • But it doesn't say 'undelivered', it simply says arrived Sydney and thats it (Im in Adl, so assume it went no further than customs). Ali Express said I should go to Sydney and get it!

          Was sent Nov 2 2019.

Also, the tracking number on Ali Express didn't work. But when I appealed the sender provided another number that didn't work on most of the CN trackers, but did work on one (whichI questioned if it was legit). So Aussie Post wouldn't have anything to do with it would they?

          • +1

@tunzafun001: well it depends on who you shipped with, i typically use the standard/cheapest method, all items i have received are are handled by auspost(i've ordered 30+ items), i've had to go collect at the local post office and more recently they just leave it at the door.

tracking for me typically only covers up to it gets delivered to australia, after which if you want to track it you can obtain a different tracking number(i have done this once when i ordered a more expensive item and it was a auspost tracking number), so your item most probably got lost somewhere in australia

            • @abctoz: Sounds like Aussie post! However, the item didn't reach sydney in the 28 day delivery guarantee window anyway (was still listed in China) So don't believe any Ali xpr guarantees, they won't honour them. The seller probably sent the item, but didn't use the express postage I paid extra for and it just disappeared.

              • @tunzafun001: didn't you say it arrived in sydney? whatever the case sounds like some kind of unfortunate miscommunication, maybe just use standard shipping as sellers have most experience there - i've never had an issue.

                • @abctoz: Yeah, reached Sydney in around 30 odd days. I asked for a refund based on the 28 day arrival guarantee. Didn't get it. But yeah, noted. I'll stick to free postage. That being said, the USB port arrived in about 7 days. Faulty..but it arrived.

          • @tunzafun001: Similar happened to me, but AliExpress decided in my favour as according to the tracking information it was delivered to a different postcode.

    • It's wrong on many levels but the only way you'll truly get amazing support from AliExpress is if you one of the higher levels of membership - gold/platinum/diamond usually. Of course you will get some sellers who are honest and will issue refunds before having to escalate.

    • You need to explain clearly and concisely the reason for dispute because they are bad with English. I have been successful so far with my disputes but they were with blatant false advertising. If you dispute minor things they are likely to reject you.

    • Some interesting maths, there. Something like decibels?

    Got it.
As others have said, you need to use chrome browser, Account Settings>change Country (has a little Australia flag beside it) in your account settings to Russia, pick any province and city from the list and everything changes to Russian letters.
Then click on the link for the deal and the coupon will be active. Grab it, go back to account settings and look for the Russian flag, click on it and change it back to Australia.
The $4 is auto-discounted from your total.

    • +2

Don’t have to use Chrome, I did it on Safari on my iPad.

The only thing I had to do different to what you said was once I selected Russia I had to wait 5 or so seconds for the ‘State’ drop down box under that to load, or else it would just keep defaulting back to Australia if I just pressed save after selecting Russia.

Worked fine once I went through it all, just ordered a couple of USB LED strips, cheers OP!

      • +2

Thank you for the step by step, never would've thought to wait as one of the things to try. :D

    I get error 4005

edit: Chrome wasn't letting me change the top right "Ship to" to Russia. Tried in IE and it worked.

  • +4

    Quick tip
    1. Change ship to country at top of the page to "Russian federation"
    2. Wait for few seconds
    3. extra columns will appear (probably Russian version of state and city) with Moscow etc filled.
    4. no need to change currency and now hit save

    • ) after that change language on top right corner.

    • thanks, you got it to work for me and I got some cool fishing lures!

  • Thanks op
