Is this a good price for such a clothesline?

Just go Bunnings and get the draytek brand

    • …in the market for a full size hoist. was thinking of hills…are draytek recommended?

      • +1

I got one and no issues. Cost me $99. Easy to install and most importantly don't need to get it delivered by picking it up instore at Bunnings. The box isn't heavy

        • It is Daytek not Draytek. I work for them so take my recommendation with a grain of salt. The Daytek fold down clotheslines are good. I bought one before I started there. The after sales support is good too as we have a factory in Preston, Vic.

  • Daytek is the brand name 😁

    • The OP is a Hills. Daytek is a different Australian manufacturer that also makes fold down clotheslines.

  • If you look at these brands… They are all made the same materials for the joints and holders etc… At this price range …. The premium quality use metal or alloy that last longer but are going to pay $300-$400 for it… Or just $70-$90 when the cheapest are made the same.. Have a look your self

I can't and wont speak to the Hills brand. But I do work for another manufacturer in Australia called Daytek. Don't let the looks fool you, Daytek fold downs are made from powder coated galvanised steel. The reason some parts are not metal, is because they are parts that move and would overtime scratch the powder coating and galvanised layer off and therefore rust or the most common point of contact with the wall and therefore could scratch and rust over time. We also use UV resistant nylon reinforced polymer not straight plastic so it is tough as nails. Hence the 25 year warranty.

Just a bit of info for you.

  • Be aware folks that this is the Hills compact. Roughly the size of a Daytek mini. These are not full size clotheslines. Also the Daytek is 84 bucks at Bunnings and can be special ordered in a heap of colours too.

  • Bunnings Innaloo had a range of daytek folding clothes lines on clearance yesterday for $5, $10 and $15, i bought two! The cord in there alone is worth more. I was going to post on here but they were flying out the door.

    • Yeah stores are flogging off the older MK1 models to make room for the MK2 models. Great deal if you can get the MK1s at that price.

Something is wrong here - the picture or the measurement isn't right. 2.2m x 0.6m, what is the 0.6? I would want to know how far out from the wall it came, and I seriously doubt it isn't 60cm or that is the wrong picture

    • 60cm out from the wall
