  • How about the battery. Used to have a cheap one (different brand) from bunnings, battery dead very soon. I would say "does NOT matter how good the skin is, battery dead means nothing left".

if battery fails, I'd just Frankenstein it with a $29 ALDI 4AHr battery.
A bit of hassle, but probably won't be needed.

This is three tools i don't already have in cordless (who needs another drill?), and a light, so very tempted.

All for about the same (delivered) as one Ozito skin.

    $50 it’s still a bargain. Thanks op

  • A 2ah battery will be flat in no time at all.

    You will need more.

    • This.

    • What did you expect for $50 2x 4ah batteries? I'd be more concerned with the fact it comes with such a crummy charger

  • Sounds nasty but at that price it's a no brainer. Plus wired combo, no drill seems odd

    • It's cordless, not wired ;-)

      • Whoops weird*

  • bought thanks OP

    Gone. Error?

The listing has been removed. The reciprocating saw, angle grinder and multi tool are all listed for $50 each so this pack being listed for $50 is almost certainly a price error. Good luck to those who already paid, hopefully they don't just cancel and refund.

      • Maybe, but none of those items are worth $50 alone

Catch has done so many price errors and stock issues with my purchases that I stopped buying from them. The (profanity) up is they can get away with it under the ACCC laws. Grrrrrr

    • Easy, under their T&C…
Most online companies perpetually hide behind these…

These look exactly like the old triton tools 18b range that was sold at masters. It wouldn't surprise me if the batteries fit.

    • I think you are right!

  • The Triton 18V tools are the same family as the earlier Aldi Taurus Titanium range, so the batteries / tools are interchangeable. The Aldi charger is better /quicker and these tools came out in 2013, but are no longer supported. The tools were made by Einhell who aquired Ozito to get the Bunnings market. At least I can now get some cheap 2AH battery packs. Battery repacking is possible but not as easy as buying off the shelf.

  • Just got the confirmation email that the package is on it’s way.

I guess I got the catch of the day lol
