  Having finished this game, I honestly think this is the weakest game yet for the series.

  Lots of things done right, but the game has been stripped of everything. Easy beyond comprehension, no real story, horrible region layout, constant cut scenes, and extremely linear.

  No global trading system either. Makes trades horrible. You also need a paid Nintendo online subscription just to trade non locally.

  Pretty sure you could complete this in 2 hours

    Unfortunately Nintendo is starting to go down the same route as other companies in regards to DLC and micro transactions :(

      Pokemon go means Nintendo don't need good mainline Pokemon games to make money.

      Agreed, not a fan of every new addition/DLC being a micro-transaction.

      Cost is starting to add up…

      • Main game: ~$65 each
      • Expansion Pass DLC: $45 each
      • Pokemon Home: $25/year

    But sun and moon and the ultra versions exist so how can this be the worst game in the series?

      I agree with the people above, it is weak. The game is easy and eveything has been stripped away in favor of DLC and the (paid) home app. Oh but you can make your pokemon supersized sometimes, yay.

      Raids are a good addition though.
