  • Hey mate maybe you should add the Brand name in the title.

  • Comes up as $699 on website

  • Any idea what the "Smart" OS is? Android TV, WebOS, etc?

    • +3

      Volume up, Volume down?

    • SmartOS is Samsung, WebOs is LG and Android OS is others. So I assumed its got Android on this one.

      • +1

        Samsung is Tizen, not SmartOS

    • +1

No way it’s has the google certified Android OS. It definitely has some crap proprietary Linux based OS, which is buggy like all the cheap smart TVs.

  • Er, how big is your kids room?!

  • +2

Great price/size value, but I would not use this as a primary TV.
HDR would not be worth bothering with, given the likely abysmal peak brightness.
If I was shopping for a cheap TV of this size, I'd consider the FFalcon brand at JB (rebadged TCL) a better buy.

Not good going by UK other linsar models

  • +3

    Kids room? That's seriously bogan.

Regular bogans just have a 2nd big tv on the patio.

  • Cons:
    - Tin speakers
    - No HDR and PVR
    - Linux based OS for smart function (not Android).

Only get this if you got a sound bar and media player.

    • It says HDR

I havn't been keeping up with the technology, but how do you know if the HDR is real or not? Are they lying?

  • I got the non-smart 50" and it's gorgeous. Reviews from buyers of this TV are 4.5 out of 5.

POOL3 at their Ebay shop brings it down to 581.03…fwiw.

  • Has been $539 through GG Ebay but that was with a discount code. All in all it looks like a decent TV.

How does it compare with equivalent cheapies - Aldi etc?
