Autoruns… use autoruns [part of systernals] to prevent all sorts of shit from loading with windows.

Ideal for telling ccleaner to piss off when loading etc.

    From microsoft and free..

Runs from within its own standalone folder.

Right click and "run as administrator" to really sort things out.

File and save when finished saves a txt file to the folder.

look under "logon" "everything" and "scheduled" tabs.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/sysinternals/downloads/auto…

    Introduction
This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor, shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and when you start various built-in Windows applications like Internet Explorer, Explorer and media players. These programs and drivers include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. Autoruns reports Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond other autostart utilities.

Autoruns' Hide Signed Microsoft Entries option helps you to zoom in on third-party auto-starting images that have been added to your system and it has support for looking at the auto-starting images configured for other accounts configured on a system. Also included in the download package is a command-line equivalent that can output in CSV format, Autorunsc.

You'll probably be surprised at how many executables are launched automatically!

    just block
    analytics.ff.avast.com
in your firewall or dns and you should be safe from the tracking monster

hell you could even just block avast.com all together if you really want too

  • I used all Piriform prooducts while they were free and uncrippled.

Now I used Bleachbit open source cleaner instead of CCleaner.

Just saying…It is a better option.

  • Bugger missed it…by 8 hours apparently.

Wise Disk Cleaner is always free and is much better in my experience.

When I initially registered (05/02) it showed as Expiry 2021 so was full year. Now it shows as expired. Seems a tad dodgy and that they revoked the License.

    What a joke:

Expiry date has been set 01/01/2000.

    Invalidated license. Future purchase? Nope.

  • +7

People who used this code have now had it made invalid by the company.

  • So much for 12 months free.
Today had notification pop-up that I required new registration key, professional edition disabled.
    I didn't even get one months use……………………………..

Yeap, seems to be the case BUT what I have found is that it continues to work just fine in full mode. Expiry shows as 01 Jan 2000 now.

  • +2

That was a short year the licence has expired already! :(

  • Same here…license expired. BUMMER!

    • …..yet still works. Just ignore the "Your Lic has Expired" pop up.

      • it works as the free version, it no longer auto updates etc..

        • …….I just checked mine a sec ago to make note of all the things that still work.
Nothing now. It no longer show as exiry as 2000 and reports as expired. Funny as was fine earlier this morning. Not a big deal as free version is all I personally need. But a scam free offer though.
