I've bought a couple of portable inflators and they've both been duds. They may have finished the job of inflating a tyre but from the sound of them seemed more likely to blow up in the ten minutes per tyre it looked like taking. Is there any reason to expect that the Repco or Outbac can inflate car tyres reasonably quickly?

Been using the Xiaomi portable air pump for my escooter and it's great. Perfect little size to store in a bag on the scooter and pumps it to precision. Not sure i'd use it to pump up a car but I guess it's an option. Can definitely recommend for scooters and bikes!

    • how long does the battery last though? it looks small.

      • I think that's intentional, small and portable, perfect for any sport balls, bikes or other smaller tyres, wouldn't bother with a car tyre though as it takes several minutes, but if it's all you have in the car at the time maybe. Can't say on Battery charge though, but it has a 2000mAh battery, charged by micro-usb.

    • Wow 25psi to 30 psi in 20 secs
Sounds too good to be true

  • Anyone used this particular pump? Looks handy for keeping tyres topped up?

Would these be ideal for PC cleaning?

    • Now that would be potentially useful! Better than air in a can single use waste

This recent deal is designed for the purpose:

    • It wouldn't provide enough air flow to clear out much dust I'm guessing.

  • Aldi had one couple of weeks ago, around 40 bucks from memory… don't know if good.

    • Aldi one was $40 skin only. Battery and charger sold separately for 30-40 combo.

      • Yeah. Do you know if it's any good?

        • +1

yeah i got one, love it , pump car tires and bycicle in no time, and also as 5year warranty, the good thing with the aldi one you can always have spare batteries ,but goood luck finding a replacement battery for this repco one

          • @hitman48: Have you had any problems with your Aldi one not turning on properly?

I'm not sure if it's just a faulty unit or I'm doing something wrong.

It will work fine a few times and then it won't switch on. Then I disconnect the battery and put it back in and it's fine again.

            Otherwise, it's been great.

  • Thanks OP, needed one and ordered.

  • Got the last unit @ Dandenong repco.

Sick of taking my old family members cars to the petrol station to help them pump their tyres lol

    • Keen to hear your feedback on repco unit! Please :-)

      • charged it up earlier, tried it and it works :D

topped up tyres from 30psi to 35psi (30 secs)
