  • $19.95 postage to Brisbane, so it is still about $150 for me.

Cheapest on staticice is $160 - not delivered, so 150 delivered is pretty darn good

      • Yeah but those deals would still eligible for the $20 cashback included in the headline price for this deal.

      • So you are saying $148.95 vs $160 (they all have the cashback, right?). Ok, about $10 savings. Not much.

        • Yeah, so works out about the same with MSY, $169 becomes 150 with cashback, so basically you are getting free delivery with this deal, that is if you have an MSY that is easy to get to.

        • And have the patience to wait in line.

Comments on whirlpool seem generally positive

  • Monitors are going cheap as chips
remember buying my monitor for 250 dollars.. 1.5 years ago.. for 24" Full HD..
and 5 years ago.. 19" SD for 200

    • 5 years ago, 22" 1680x1050, $460. C'mon, who else?

      • 3-4 years ago, 22" 1680x1050, $350

Wish I hadn't bought it now.

        5 years ago, 24" 1920x1200 $1099

      • i paid double that for my 19" CRT back in the day. well, double the $460 post..

  • I paid ~$200 for an LG 17" CRT a few years back. Was happy to do it at the time too. Its still going strong.

  • From experience- trying to Claim $19 Cash Back probably won't be worth most peoples time unless acer have made the cashback process easier to claim than in the past.

I think this is the way which they work.. They're all painful but get the headline price down.. at least 10% of people, likely many more, would never get around to claiming.

      • When I was in the industry, I recall being told that the redemption rates on Microsoft cashbacks was less than 65%. And given that some of their higher end desktop sets are sold for comparable prices to this monitor…

I didn't have any problems at all when I claimed a cashback on an Acer netbook a year ago?

      • Are you asking us a question?

  • Yeah I bought this and never claimed a few months ago, good quality monitor though

  • Just a heads up for people like myself who do care about superior viewing angle. The H and V has conflicting information on acer website. Headline info lists it as 170H 160V but in the spec sheet says 176 for both as stated by SS.

Not really complaining because the price is very cheap but just not sure what is the correct spec.

    • Is this an IPS panel?
If not, if you look from 160degrees, does it mean you can see, but you see rubbish?

  • Looked like a good deal and was all set to buy until I saw postage was $19.95 to Wollongong. They're only $165 at MSY so better off getting one there or getting local shop to price match. End up spending less and don't have to worry about having to pay to post something back if warranty issues arise.
