Got a link?
The cheapest mix at the Bunnings I've been to is the cheap Richgro stuff for $3 too
https://www.bunnings.com.au/garden-essentials-25l-multi-purp…I'd definitely rather pick up Brunnings for the same price! Might pop into my Woolies soon then!
Just loads the home page for me on my mobile. Must be region specific or something.
@dufflover: Ye I can't open the above link too. Redirects to homepage
@jkiller295: Yeah that's weird. Link opens for me. That's the mix I was talking about.
I looked at the Brunnings site. They have a lot of different mixes. I guess its different somehow.
Black tick mix - you get what you pay for.
What does the black tick mean? Honestly I think this mix is terrible on its own but I buy it and amend it with mushroom compost, blood and bone, epson salt, garden lime and a sprinkle of mycorrhizal and it does very well
We got this junk from spudshed and it’s plagued with tiny flies so now looking for how to kill them off, have seen neem oil but if anyone has any tips because I just want to throw all the plants away but the wife is not having it lol.
I got some neem oil to get rid of aphids. Its a fair bit more expensive than I expected, but you don't use much. Mix like a teaspoon or two of dish liquid, about 5-10 ml of neem oil and about a teaspoon of epsom salts into 2L of water and spray it all over the plants. Drench the leaves.
—edit— oops - too much neem oil
guess these are gnats. cover soil with rocks and also try dishwashing soap water that makes them to stick and die. they survive coz of moisture so dont overwater and let soil dry out. i put all my indoor plants in my open but covered garage and gnats disappeared in summer.
Is the Bunnings one better that this all seasons mix?
Yes
$3.50 should be its normal price not half price special.
i have tried different potting mixes with black ticks and they were all crap. i am planning to buy a wheel barrow and make it at home.
Have a worm farm or just compost bin would be good
Ideal for smaller outdoor spaces
werent these on special $3 previously
Expired in Aug 2019
Bunnings has Brunnings Potting Mix 25L for $2.99. I don't know what the difference is.
