No mention of day of week for each special this time.

  • extra dry is a bargain

  • Good spot Markjd. Ad just says "Specials are only valid whilst stocks last." So no day or date this week.

In Australia, is "Coronita" simply the same as Corona but in a smaller bottle? (the ad says 210ml)

or has Corona's changed their Australian trademark?

[According to Wikipedia, Coronita is what Coronas are labelled as in Spain!]

    confused.

    • I once heard that you could buy 200ml bottles in mexico, so maybe they are direct imports?
And will Dans even have these?

        Well, honestly, who cares?? Think about the maths for a second;

Last time they had Corona slabs (24x 355ml bottles) on special, it was for ~$30.

These are smaller bottles, half a slab for ~$15…

You're essentially getting 2/3 of a bottle of Corona for the same price as a full bottle. No deal on that one, thanks.

Same Corona flavour in unique 210ml packaging. Great for the Girls!

Try putting a slice of lemon in that tiny bottle, barkeep!

      • It's the boutique version that involves lemon rind instead! :-P

  • I am glad you guys aren't in QLD, cus I'd be broke and needing a liver transplant if you were.

  • For those keen on buying multiple copies of the newspapers and price-matching elsewhere, I have often bought 3 papers ($1.10 each) and used 1 coupon at GetWinesDirect, one at Dan Murphy's in Richmond (one street away), and then driven to Dan Murphys in Camberwell (near the junction, behind The Hive Shopping Centre) to use the third.
All of these stores accept price-matching.
The TED's are a bargain again this week!

Just went and picked up a slab of Toohey's at Glen Waverley.

  • You may want to fix the link at the bottom, it's not GAT wines direct. ;)

    • Thanks!

  • Can't these be claimed in Sydney or something now? I heard something on the news about them expanding their empire to the newspapers up there as well. Needless to say, Dan Murphy's weren't pleased :p

  • GWD has stepped up the campaign and put the ad in The Australian. Not sure how Dans need to honor this as their policy is a 10km radius of the advertiser (Richmond, Vic).
For those who get their dockets rejected in Melb within range, bookmark this on your smartphone… Dan's CEO on necord as saying the will beat any competitors price.
