        Apple design most of their products not to be user serviceable; and attempting to do so will void any warranty you have.

        The fact that someone has come up with a workaround (that they explicitly state will still void your warranty, BTW) doesn't negate the fact that it was clearly always Apple's intent that you 'never' be able to do it yourself!

  The thing that looks like a front facing camera is a light sensor. It it used to alter the brightness if outside or in the dark. Saves power and sometimes pees me off when i am casting a shadow over it.
