Nintendo has announced that they’ve dropped the price of two pack of NES controllers by 25%. This makes them $59.95 for two and will last until February 3rd.

Nintendo has also announced that the Super Nintendo controllers will be returning after selling out almost instantly. These will be available to purchase from January 28th and will be limited for four per person. These will set you back $39.95 each.

Both of these controllers were released alongside the subsequent NES and SNES Nintendo Switch Online drops. It’s unclear if we’ll get more of them.

      i remember, when it was on the snes cart. i used a snes power plug to setup a marco to do auto spell to level up.

      The deal is really for the 2x NES controllers… but the SNES controllers sold out stupid quick so it's good to be able to get them again!

    While these are official products, and great for nostalgia, I can't help but prefer the 8BitDo SF30 Pro over this. Solid controller, works as a regular controller for the Switch, and can be connected to multiple devices including PC. The SN30 Pro is the same thing but in the American colour scheme.

    And the NES controllers can only be used for NES games on the switch, kinda limiting.

      Probably worth buying the SN30 Pro+ instead, similar price but more features and more ergonomic. 8BitDo doesn't seem to have the greatest build quality though, so keep that in mind.

        I haven't had any problems with mine, but online mileage seems to vary, maybe I just got lucky. I prefer the ergonomics of the Pro vs the Pro+, I'll use a PS controller when I want the grip bits

      That's what I was gonna ask.

      Do the 8BitDo controllers work natively without their bluetooth adapter?

      I noticed that the 8BitDo version also has the 2 analog sticks.

        They connected to the switch fine without an adapter. I bought these originally for the mini SNES so needed the adapter, haven't tried connecting to the PC without an adapter, but should, bluetooth is bluetooth. Supposed to be able to connect to phones too, also haven't tested.

      I have the SN30 Pro, I actually prefer these controllers because they don't have the analog sticks. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I actually find it more comfortable to not have the sticks there.

      For what it's worth, the official Nintendo ones also feel more like the original SNES/NES controllers. I'd say the SN30 Pro is a more versatile controller, but if you already have a Pro controller and are buying just to play NES/SNES and 2D platformers, then I'd rather go with these.
