I have completed many Groupon transactions on desktop and also mobile. It has tracked for me 90% of time without issue. The 3 times that it did not track I logged a "Missing Cashback" case on the app or desktop (depending how the original purchase was completed). Shopback have investigated and given me the missing amounts pretty quickly in all cases.
I have had nothing but excellent service and communication for Shopback. I am NOT associated with Shopback in any shape or form, just sharing my own experiences.
3 from 3 failed to track for me last week when they had the 20% boosted cashback offer via the app. (I have MUCH less faith in the app.) Lodged three claims - 2 have been credited and 1 is still under investigation for some reason.
I think the problem is with Groupon, more than Shopback, although this doesn't explain why some people receive instant tracking.
TLDR: Be prepared to follow-up your cashback.

Agreed. Most of my purchases are not tracking too. Mostly from amazon au, Myers and eBay.
Shop back works almost 100% but somehow cash rewards doesn’t sometimes and even if you lodge a “missing cashback” dispute with them, they’ll find an excuse to decline it. (Mostly they will ask you was there any discount to start off with and if you say yes or if the receipt says yes, their reply will be “cash rewards do not apply to items already discounted”)
I wasn't the one who negged you, but my experience is totally different.
The fact that Cashrewards has an active, dedicated rep on here (TIGHTARSE) putting people's minds and arses at ease is a big tick-mark for that company.
But, at the end of the day, we'll go where the biggest savings are.
I have generally had good experiences with SB. CR on the other hand, I agree with you. I stopped using them after a few issues but the one that really pissed off me was with Agoda. Booked a hotel in Thailand, followed all the rules, etc and CR then argued it wasn't eligible because I used a coupon that wasn't listed which I had not done. In the end it turned out this discount was a multi day save discount that automatically discounted the daily rate. I argued is not a code at all and is typical of most hotels. They wouldn't have a bar of it. So I left and took all my kickbacks they would have received elsewhere.

So, I think pihole (DNS ad block) on my home wifi has messed with my cashbacks a few times. Normally go to airplane mode to flush DNS before I try it
Definitely problems with Groupon tracking right now, be prepared to follow up.
Both CW and SB have issues with Groupon
Sucks, but if you have Google play Games on your phone you can screen record as you make the purchase, to save as evidence.
Happy to report that my purchase was tracked with email confirmation to me 20mins after I made my purchase tonight.
Purchased a Groupon during the last 20% cashback and it didn't track. SB say it's not attributed to them which is total crap. Find it interesting all the transactions with little value track without issue but anything significant needs to be fought for…..
