Just remember the included charger is a piece of junk generally in these kits. It requires to dual charge. So you have to have to have 2 flat batteries to charge at a time.
What is a good charger to use with the Eneloops?
For eneloops I use a nitecore d4.
I used to use a xtar vc4, but someone who knows better than me said that the nitecore is a better budget to mid range charger for eneloops. Longer battery life expectancy etc. I use the xtar for 18650 batts now.
Used to sell for $31.99 up until a few months ago. Costco has jacked up the prices.
With the extra AAA batteries?
Thanks. Almost bought.
Fyi, these are not made in Japan. Got some DOA’s when I bought a couple of packs.
There are both. When I saw them at North Lakes about two weeks ago, the stack had both Made in Japan and Made in China ones. They look identical, you have to look at the back of the packaging on the lower-left hand corner.
Got mine. There was a big MADE IN JAPAN lettering on the front of the packaging
Bought 8 x AA Eneloops from Catch.com for $29.99 with $6 shipping, have a sanyo charger that will do with it..
LAADA 2450mAh 4 pack $15, made in Japan. Regular Eneloops are only 1900-2000 mAh.
The charger is a dumb charger which shouldn't be used if you want your battery to last.
LAADA are Eneloop Pros.
There are 2 types. White Ladda are made in Japan, same factory as Eneloop Pro's. Tan/Beige coloured Ladda are made in China and feedback suggests they are a lower quality.
The tan ones are also have a very low-capacity, 1000mAh for the AA, 500mAh for the AAA. I think they're meant for things like cheap small lights, clocks, kitchen timers etc.
Ikea batteries are better than these Eneloop ones. A lot of the Eneloop batteries are being outsourced to China as the supplier/manufactureres.
Ikea Batteries, as Slugoid pointed out, are MADE in Japan. Far better deal.

Insane bargain!
