Received an email from Amazon.
They are selling Echo dot for $39.50 with ECHOMUSIC coupon code. Looks like a generic code so it should work for everyone.

Is there a list of what smart devices are included?

Coupon is still working for me.
Not much of a deal here. These have been ~$39 for ages. I grabbed one before Christmas from Amazon for $36.
That was second gen though, not third.
Not entirely sure what the difference is and if it is worthy of the increased price but if you can get a newer version for the same price that's good?Nope it's 3rd gen. Copy paste from my orders on Amazon:
Echo Dot (3rd Gen) – Smart speaker with Alexa - Charcoal Fabric

$36.00ALso see here:

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/477452 (2 for $79 3rd gen way back in August)Ah never mind, I don't keep up with echos much because I go down the Nest/Home path instead.
Thanks for correcting me.Doesn't seem like that much of a good deal then.
@pennypincher98: No sweat.
It's just been around $39 for a while leading up to xmas last year. Not sure why they jack it back to $79 again :| It was $39 ish for like 4 months.
@Skramit: I guess though if you didn't grab one then, but you want one now, it's a deal.
@Astronaut Joe: Agreed. Probably why I didn't neg the deal, but honestly its the standard price now IMO
Says cannot be applied
Did not work for me - must be targeted.
Code can't be applied for me
Must be semi-targeted.
Like a fart in an elevator…
This or nest mini?
Gumtree nest mini. Loads of cheapo ones. I am selling two.
I've used both.. prefer the google one ..
They're fairly similar, so it really depends on which ecosystem you wanna be tied to. Personally I prefer the Echos because it has support for Apple Music and a lot more skills that I use, and it also has audio out so you have the option to plug it into a better speaker.
CHIP can't come soon enough: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2019/12/apple-google-and-ama…
If you use (or plan to) Ring, Amazon's the way to go long term
Code does not work for me either.
I'm not sure if this warrants a separate deal or not, but a couple of the echo devices have been reduced. Echo Dot gen3 is $49 (if the 'echomusic' code doesn't work for you) and Echo Gen3 is $119. Not as cheap as they've ever been - the Echo 3 was $99 over boxing day sales, for instance - but it is the cheapest around at the moment. Prices are the same at Amazon, Officeworks and JB, but as I type this they haven't been updated at Bunnings (online at least) so you might bag a pricematch.
This stacks with their current 20% off smart devices promotion.
