  • Hi Rep, we have ours from the last deal.
How do you clean inside the capture compartment. Can you pull out the metal part or not?

    • +9

      Yes, Please check instruction here

      • -3

        FANTASTIC!
Are there care instructions? Can you wash stuff with water or just dry clean?
        Thank you

        • +5

Please check manual inside, there is maintainance section in detail.

    • +2

You use the end of one of the attachments as a wrench to unlock the metal barrel. You can then wash it out.

      • Thank you

  • AU Plug?

    And availability of spare parts?

    • Yes, AU Plug. We have carpet Roller Head, soft roller, power adapter available now.

      • If it come with power adaptor, it won't be AU Plug.

        • Looking at the auction pics, it appears they refer to the charging transformer as "power adapter".

  • Hi Gearbite, 2 questions:

    • do you have carpet roller head standalone on promotion as well?
    • Is there a way we can buy replacement charger?
    • eBay need min $100 spending.
For Charger, you can order from Here

      • Thank you Rep

Does shopro website accept click and collect?

    • Would also like the carpet head on a promo separately, after buying the v9 from gearbite last month and realising how important it is.

  • Great deal I paid $325 with the carpet head purchased seperately.

  • +2

Can anyone comment on how these do compare to say a V7 Dyson?

    • Also interested in how these compare to a Dyson.

      • +1

This is for the F8 but they are meant to compete with each model.
        https://www.bestcordlessvacuumguide.com/xiaomi-roidmi-f8-vs-…
I personally own the xiaomi roidmi x20 and comparing it to a Dyson I would say it's very much the same no matter what model you get. the F7 is a great Vac and there are plenty of reviews on there. However, the V7 by Dyson isn't much more and for peace of mind, I would prob buy the Dyson again for its customer support and warranty.

That's just me though. Check out video reviews on the F7 and I think you should have plenty to go with.

        • +7

Dyson customer service after warranty period is non existent. Please check product review website

          • @mlburnian: I had Dyson replace a dead battery out of warranty after i wrote them a brief email. So i had success there…

      • I have this and a dyson dc59 animal. The Dyson is still going strong.

This is a great vacuum but for build quality and maintenance I am sorry I didn't save up and pay for the newest
Dyson. The v7 Dyson gets many bad reviews. I've seen the v11 in action and love it

        • Dyson V6 going strong for almost 5 years now.

      • +4

Thanks for the lack of a comparison as asked for

        • +2

You'll get a free steam mop just for walking into Godfrey's

  • Does this have HEPA filter?

    • Yes

  • +2

Additional Carpet head on mine from last deal has started to fall apart. Glue is coming off and the material is lifting off the rotating cylinder. QC doesn't seem very good on it to be lifting this soon.

    • If carpet head have any quality problem, please send email to our team, they should follow up for you.

  • +3

Rep, are there any deals coming soon for air purifiers please?

    • +1

I’m interested in the Air Purifier 3 as well.

      • +1

It would be good to order with ebay plus 10% off code Now. We wont have 15% off at Jan from i know at this moment. Current Stock level wont able to run a deal at OZ community.

        • anything for the Xiaomi Mi M365 Electric Scooter, coming up?

  • Hi Rep. Any deals on the vacuum robot with mop

  • +1

Hey rep - any deals on the new Air Purifier 3 or Pro with laser particulate sensors - I’m pretty sure a lot of people are waiting for a deal to jump on given recent air quality issues.

  • +3

Hi rep, how is your day?

    • +9

Hi Kewok, if you wish to know more about my day, please view the FAQs on our website or send an email to our customer support team. They will be able to assist with your inquiry.

      Regards

    • Kewok. My day is great. How is yours?

  • How does it compare with the latest Dyson v11? I knew there is a big price difference, but would like to see whether it is worth to pay 3 times more. Thx

    • +1

Tried both - the Dyson V11 is much closer to a "real" wall-powered vac. This is much more like a companion to a wall-powered vac.

If you already have a wall-powered vac, this is a good choice. I usually would use this to vacuum the car, dust on the tables/sofas…etc., if I've drilled some plaster or cut some wood…etc. The wall vac comes out once a week to clean the carpet.

If you only have hard floors, this could probably be your only vac, but with carpet (especially fluffier types), this can't keep up with a V11 or a wall-powered vac.

Not sure if this could help, so I have checked many of those comparisons between Dreame v9 vs Dyson v8, and with many other brands too, and found this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlbQ9SBLeZ8, it is in Chinese, but I think it is the best in-depth comparison between Dyson V8 and Dreame V9.
Since it is in Chinese, I will just put the summary here:

So if you don't need to worry about money (non-bargainer! Why you are here?) then go for Dyson v8 (in the vid the tester said v11 is overpowered and v8 is the best balanced product so far), V8 has the most powerful engine and much longer battery than the rest, like with the maximum suction level, dreame can only last for 8mins but Dyson could last for 17mins!

But! Dyson is harder to clean, and one most important thing is Dreame could be dissembled and wash the parts with water and even just throw into the washing machine. washable parts = longer reusable value = more saving.

Basically, Dreame v9 is like budget version of Dyson v8, with ignorable lesser suction power, and maybe 60% of Dyson battery capacity. But you also need to put warranty and customer service in mind. So while Dyson v8 is among $500-$600, maybe this $300ish Dreame v9 is actually worth to give a try.

sorry for the bad English but hope this can help.

    • Thank you.

    • very good points to consider

    • Very good summary.

    • Wow, good to know I thought Dreame V9 battery charge last longer than Dyson V8. So it is not true then?

      • +6

Oh shoot! I have watched it again and I made a huge mistake! When they were talking about the Dyson, they were referring to the v11 but not the v8!
Ok, so start from 18:15, they are showing 2 tables for the lasting time, with the minimum power, V11 last for 1:18:57 and Dreame last for 46:20. And with maximum power, V11 last for 17:01, Dreame is 8:16.

I couldn't edit the comment above. Actually, I don't know now, if they were comparing with V11, meaning Dreame v9 is a budget version of V11? But the price gap is like freaking $1200(from good guys) vs $300, I don't know if that make sense now.

        • So it seems that Dreame V9 > Dyson V8?

          • @leiiv: Yes, seems like it, but too good to be true? Anyway, Planning to get one and try it out.

  • Hi rep, which one is good for houses with pets that are heavy shedders.

  • +1

Mine arrived today from the last deal, good product. Happy so far. Would definitely recommend GearBite/ShopPro.

  • Hi rep - do you stock any flat heads for the dreame with no brush/roller? Just a basic flat head attachment that's wider than the stick attachment it comes with?

  • Could anybody able to tell real battery life comparison of Dreame V9 vs Dyson V8?
    Appreciate your help
    Thank you!

  • Hi. What’s the equivalent Dyson for comparison?

    • Probably a V7. IMO, this is better than a V6 in terms of suction and cleaning power, but the V6 is built a bit tougher.

    • Nevermind. I just noticed this one has no carpet head.

  • bought this while shopro was on special, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/509636

so far so good, especially having to vaccum almost every day thanks to the bushfires, was pleasantly surprised @ the amount of dirt it picked up, save so much time, and the water compare to mopping the floor, love it

  • +2

would you say this is better than the $149 kmart one?

  • How does it compare to the Dreame V10?

  • -1

Hi Rep, is carpet head included in this deal ?

    • +1

Did you even read the post or title?

      • 😌 now i read it 👍

  • How does this compare to the dreame v10?

  • Nice one, thanks op

  • Pulled the trigger!

  • I'm trying to understand how/why adding the carpet head costs so much.
I thought the whole idea of buying Xiaomi was to not have to pay for overpriced plastic? (I'm obviously missing something, hoping someone can fill me in!)

  • Says $276? or Pay only AU $262.50 with PERRY as code? POKLA needs ebay+?

Keen to buy at this sale price.

    • You can also purchase from shopro with similar price if you do not have eBay Plus Here

  • I’m trying to justify buying this one. My understanding is that the Dreame, or other handheld vacuum cleaners like the Dyson, is only for spot cleaning, assuming most Ozbargainers already have a robot version like the Roborock for normal cleaning and/or the Miele for heavy cleaning. Would you still need the Dreame if you don’t have kids or pets or for some other reasons rarely have any spots to clean. It doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense to me to buy this just to use a few times a year compared to the others which are used daily or weekly.

    • +2

If you don't think you're going to use it, then you shouldn't buy it. Save the money for something you would use instead!

Overall, if you have carpet, I don't think this can fully replace a wall-powered vac, especially if your carpet is fluffy. From my testing, I've vacuumed a room a few times until this will no longer pick anything up, but going through with a wall-powered vac still picked up plenty of dust.

If you have hard flooring, you can just have this and not a wall-powered vac at all. I generally use mine to vacuum the car, tables, inside nooks and crannies where the big vac can't go…etc.

Personally I've gotten enough use out of it just being a car vac alone that I'm happy.

      • Thanks for the input. The car vac is a very good use case I haven’t thought about. Closed/narrow spaces are good places to use too. Now you’ve convinced me to buy one!

    • +1

I just have one Dyson v6 for all types of cleaning, I don't have carpet though.

  • How do these compare the the LG cordzero vacuums?

  • My review: a good product. substitutes my stick vaccum and my old wall powered vaccum with flying colours. it grab a lot of dust after using then in different rooms. no escape of dust which was the reason why we bought it ( apart from stick battery dying). max battery is enough for a quick pass around the house but we found level 2 enough after a one per week max pass. noise is also much more acceptable than previous ones ( Hoovers).

    Cons:
    1. I was expecting it to be more light but still it's very manuverable.

    1. Found the carpet head is a bit flimsy and not sturdy enough. time will tell.

3.no trigger lock. missus and I constantly changing hands because you have to keep pressing the button. time will tell if we will get used to it.

    1. The Wall bracket requires you to put the vaccum through the front because the holder swivels up to fit. we didn't plan for that since our previous Hoover allow us to slide from the top around the fridge.
    • You can make a trigger lock yourself see

Anyone else interested in making an order? Needs to be in bulk for it to be cost effective.

  • This seems a bit pricey.

I bought mine for $265 with all accessories from Tobys deals.

    • +1

That $265 price does not include the carpet head so effectively you paid more than this deal

  • What’s everyone’s/ anyone’s experience with the standard soft rollers on hardwood floors?
Looking for a replacement as the dyson just flicks everything away.

    • +2

This seems to do a great job on our tiles with the standard roller, although it seems to flick a little if you set it to Max. Lvl 1 and 2 is more than enough for tile surfaces though and will let you get more than 8min from a full charge.

Thick plush carpet not so much, and will need the carpet head.

      • +1

I'll second everything Spiderboy has said here.
I have tiled and hardwood living areas in my place and the standard roller on the low or medium setting works great on both.

  • +2

The new model is out. The Xiaomi Dreame V10 Boreas….

Price for V9 should be lower….

  • Is anyone else having issue with the heads not working on the vacuum?

It does works with the 2-in-1 flat vacuuming head and 2-in-1 brush vacuuming head.

It doesn't work with the soft-cloth roller head, electric bug remover head and carpet head.

So it basically does not work with the heads that have the two metal prongs that click into the vacuum.

    Are we doing something wrong?

    • Should be something wrong, please contact our team to solve for you.

  • I am going to buy one now, even though this has got high votes, little frustrated.

  • +1

Bought it lets see, hopefully won't regret.

  • +2

Hi rep, why did i only receive one ROLLER HEAD? is this a Scam?

    • Can I have your order, I will check for you. This post have one come soft roller head as standard for $248.69, soft roller head and carpet head combo $309.59.

      • +1

        it's been sent now

    • +1

Hi rep, I too have only received one package containing the Roller Head. I did sent you a message via eBay and have not yet heard back.

      • Send by two package. You should receive second one shortly.

  • My item shows delivered as yesterday, but I have not actually received it. Today, I lodged the delivery issue with Australia Post.

    StarTrack screwed up my delivery.

  • +1

Received mine yesterday - carpet head in separate box attached to main box. Quality is fantastic for the price and seems superior to my V6 Absolute. Gave it a run through the house this morning and very happy. High recommended!

  • Can anyone post a detailed review on this one vs Dyson? Mainly considering suction power, durability and post-purchase quality of service.
