Not available in SA, just rang some stores

    • Showing up as $149 in SA…. looks like promotion isn't national?
Will they match this receipt ?

Don't buy one of these, they're rubbish. They're very week, and would be useful for only tiny gardens. Also, they only have 1 line that comes out, making them unbalanced.

Then again, the battery costs $89 on it's own (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-18v-one-2-5ah-lithium-batt…), which in itself is a bit of a rip-off.

Buy this one - https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-brushless-line-tri… - if you can afford it, it actually works quite well.

I use it to cut my edges on a mid/large lawn area and wouldn't swap it for any other tool. It's light weight, and if you set it up in a comfortable/ergonomic way, it does the edges really fast. The 2.5Ah battery is rubbish though, it needs a 4.0Ah or 5.0Ah battery to work for 30mins.

      • You should try the Brushless version - chalk and cheese.

I tried it. It cuts good but I prefer the light one, which is not as powerful but I find it easier to handle.

    • Wow I wonder if the electronics are the same as the AEG… externally they appear near-identical

Has one of these for 3 years and has been faultless.

    2.5ah wouldn't last long?

    • 2.5ah 15-20 min max. 5ah lasts 40 minutes. Last few minutes much less power.
