  • Works in Melbourne too. Not a big fan of doordash, almost had my food stolen before by drivers too and I doubt I'll touch them after the gravy-train ends, but getting $30 of free food when ordering with friends who haven't used it yet is phenomenal.

Just a quick headsup, Doordash is a pretty scummy company, with a few employee scandals in the past year around employee tips and payment. I've also heard some bad stories about stolen food from Doordash drivers, which, while not directly Doordashes fault, they don't seem to do enough to stop it from happening.

Doordash are TERRIBLE. Issues with almost every order. From wrong items being delivered to mispriced items (thus the restaurant have a whinge and doordash driver gets held up and asked for more money) and deliveries taking in excess of one hour, not worth the bother especially with the additional service fee on top of inflated menu prices. I took advantage of the 30 for 30 promotion but wont be using again.

  • Another person here who is frustrated with DoorDash. Sure sometimes things go wrong but their customer service is the worst of the delivery services in my opinion.

The fee they add on at the end is incredibly frustrating as well. I didn't know it was legal to do that in Australia.

  • ok - was just jumping on the new user free gravy train but yes after that won't use. First delivery did take ages but hey was free can't complain.

I've had pretty bad experiences with DoorDash. Food doesn't get picked up. Order gets cancelled an hour later. Longer delivery times. I find the service quite unreliable.

  • The signing up of restaurants without their knowledge on Doordash's behalf is pretty dodgy

    • They don't sign them up. The guy just comes and pays for it on your behalf.

I haven’t had a single DoorDash order that went smoothly

  • Thanks, using this tonight to get me a rippa red rooter mega box

  • I've used them once. Everything went smoothly. I had a $15 off and free delivery code.

  • Is there a$30 min too use the free $15?

  • I have seen a lot of people that have 15$ off referral in their referral link while all the other majority of the useres have 5$ off in the ref link. How do these user manage to do this? For example there is like 400 referral links that have 15$ off referral, is there any way I could make my account get from 5$ to 15$? Or make a new account?

  • Useless app, the delivery model is messed up.

Used once, nothing arrived, 4-5 calls to driver and customer care, 2 hours wasted, refund came in after 2 days and uninstalled the App

  • Doordash is fine in my experience

  • I used this last night, no issues at all with Doordash

  • Waited 1.5 hrs the other night… I know the joint I'm ordering from isn't quick (1 guy who works hard and makes incredible food).

$7 off your first two orders (OzB ref)

After that (I've had no notification) I check the account and it's been marked as delivered. I check the website and try to call the 1800 number
    .. it's disconnected!

A quick drive to Macca's as it's now very late and I'm sorted.

Contact Doordash the next morning for a refund, guy checks (and seems surprised!) that my delivery wasn't delivered.

Guy tries to get me to settle for a re-delivery… I want a refund. He offers the refund and a $6.80 credit. As I've lost my $7 coupon, I ask for $6.80+$7.00, but he says the $6.80 is automatically generated.

Since I have $6.80 credit and one remaining $7 off voucher, I'll likely order a single $15 meal then close the account. Not a great experience tbh

Edit: Update! I just got an email saying they are going to add the $13.80 credit.
